One of Thanxsgiving centerpieces at Karim's parental house in Manhattan, November 2010

Some days, a lot of fun, a lot of food and – also – some good working days later (it feels incredibly cool to go to working meetings in Manhattan… really… I was so happy to hang down there with Brian and the guys I didn’t even mind that was takin away half of my GREAT Black Friday shopping, or the whole almost of the subsequent Saturday!), we’re back to the usual and nice routine, working in a freezy, sometimes snowy Milan and waiting for the GREAT Lady Gaga gig this incoming Sunday AND also the amazing Scala Première with Wagner.

Actually to prepare for that, I was spending reading hours in New York – still do it now that I’m back home – checking again the Eddan (in Swedish of course, with English text aside) and that, like it always happen, easily lead me to read for about the 13th time the whole of Lord Of the Rings (that in English and in Italian too… I love his style in all languages).

I actually read all Tolkien every December (and for every Tolkien I mean everything ever published under his name), because it feels very… fireplace&frosty related to me.

And then he’s one of my favorite writers ever.

Back to the USA days, it was great to spend this holiday finally getting… into it.

Karim’s family is obviously very keen to these traditions, but it was honestly a shining family time that I totally felt complete part of.

Oh… and their house in Manhattan is insane.

Wow.

We were planning to check more apartments while there but then the Black Friday shopping took us quite over (always after work though) so in the end we went checking stuff only a bit the first two days (and trust me… on Wednesday chaos in the roads was so huge we didn’t really put our best efforts there at all).

We are in contact with the people we need anyway so some more chances for a check will arise soon.

I will have to fly newly to New York soon anyway.

We have a couple of ideas, but since the prices there are nuts, we will wait for something that WE REALLY LOVE.

Okay that we have money, but this doesn’t mean we like to throw them away uselessly.

Modesty is the key to a healthy life balance.

When back in Italy my first stop were Swifty and mum&dad…

At evening, that we spent with them, we watched the last episode of the awesome Vieni Via Con Me and this was my fav part of it all (the whole show was as usual fantastic):

Really, the list of great Italians‘ things made me drop my jaw off by amazement (Roby Baggio!!! Pasolini!!! Benigni!!! So deserved :)!) and then the list of Tobagi‘s daughter just made me cry.

Today our Country is in dismay but hopefully Berlusconi will end his shameful and disgustive run and presence soon enough.

Farewell, Mario Monicelli The Great

Sadly, just during the show we learnt that Mario Monicelli took off his own life to not being submitted to another’s will about when he was his due time.

We’ve lost the true Father of the best Italian Comedy.

On Tuesday evening Karim and I watched a marathon of some of his greatest movies and we plan to keep on all week long.

Rest In Peace, you genius.

Italy misses yet another true artist and a vitriolic, yet deep and senseful insight on its cracks and beauties, something that each youngster around should get educated into and at and throughout.

Karim shed a tear learning of him passing away.

I did too.

We come writing after a back to back sleepless nights because both on Tuesday and Wednesday games were around 2 am.

Considering on Wednesday we went out with the lab crew and we arrived home at 1 am… let’s just say in the past two days we haven’t slept much.

Also because Lakers did not really facilitate that (*rolls eyes*)…

I hope these days of zero sleep won’t compromise my incoming weeks of fun…

It’s just that you know me… I never say NO to fun and friends; I never say NO to live music; I never say NO to my sport passions; I never say NO to anything that I feel passionate about.

And you also know that when any of these things don’t exactly go my way, I need raw Sexual Healing to let the frustration go.

That of course happens especially with Sport stuff (because really, I never experienced any frustration in the other departments in my whole life, thank God!)

Therefore if you try to decode my message above, through witness of the Lakers… You get that there have been a certain number of occasions recently when I had to rely on my favorite anti-stress therapy.

Not that I lament a thing there, but still..

I hope in a stopping of the reasons I have to turn to that kind of safety for my soul for ;).

Never forget. Aids Still Kill.

I also take this good occasion to remind you all that yesterday it was World Aids Day, and beside the fact Coldplay finally released for Red One new music to celebrate the occasion (nice song, but not earth-shattering, still you all should buy it because it’s for a very worthy cause), I also felt the need to point out all charities that were available.

Aids still kill.

Please, don’t ever forget it and never stop to help those in need about it.

Please.

Man I love those kids together 😉

But now let’s go on… Because happy times in LakerNation kinda stopped there practically, for a long (way too long) while.

There’s so much more you need to learn about and they are a bit of gloomy stories sadly.

Not all shines in Laker Land nowadays…

Contrariwise we are hitting quite a rough patch and we must gather back forces and strengths and focus somehow.

Quickly.

Here are the demises chronicles until today (can’t imagine it can go on any further… but then, you never know).

On the Black Friday (Black for real) Lakers went to Utah to battle the Jazz, and this is what happened:

We had a blast.

Yes, he allowed me to play (that way you read about in the previous post) so that after we had the best Sexual Healing therapy… EVER.

I hope Adam and Anne performed something similar because he surely had to feel raging after just moments before our UNFORGIVABLE loss he (like me) had the feeling as usual Kobe (in much Kobe Mode, but still our only Saviour when needed) would have amended for the whole rest of the team (and of the bench) which was unwatchable for large parts of the game.

But no… it ended in loss, which will be really useful afterwards anyway (this is the only way I can look at it…).

It must work so, right?

Gotta put things in a certain perspective.

Then just when we were coming back home, Lakers took their way back home to fight the drizzly Indiana Pacers, and this is what we witnessed (we did some hours later, but there you go) along the whole of Laker Nation:

I was shocked when, landing (LATE) in Malpensa on Monday morning, I got straight that we did lose that TOO!!!

I was really… WTF???

Poor Adam and Anne (there again too, but not in the usual places… if it weren’t for Mash sending me straight a Divine A + Sweet Fairy A candid shot from Staples, I would have thought they weren’t there…) allegedly had to perform more Sexual Healing too?

I know Karim and I after watchin the game on taxi on our way back from Malpensa to Milan… DID.

Yep.

We met at lunch time at my lab and just had it in my keyed out little resting room.

*HOT*.

Still… “Lakers… WTF????” was the thought constantly struck on my mind.

If I only knew how I were not even half into pain mode…

I upload blog today and I didn’t neither on Monday nor Tuesday (nor actually Wednesday) evening cos my only blogging time after the demise was of course meant to be a stop (well, TWO actually) in the Lakers Blog.

On Wednesday though, the dinner out prevented me from writing there and in so many ways it was better because You’ll see the unthinkable happened.

I had to mourn with the Family, which I dearly missed in those far away New York days, and I did during latest chat also.

But ehi, for feeling part of an American family I had to follow traditions and it would have felt awkward to say at a certain point: “excuse me ya’ll, got to take my time and spotty-blog a bit” ;)…

I am sure they would have allowed me (they are from Cali after all and they all support Lakers, so…) but honestly in that atmosphere I never really felt like I wanted even to ask.

I was feeling so into family time I let it go (and you can understand how much that means in my world ;)).

So after the double demise, Lakers traveled to Memphis to match up again lil Brother Marc Gasol’s Grizzlies and yes, THIS is what happened (hold yourself… PLEASE):

Wow, how awkward, and not usual for me about my adored Purple & Gold Knights.

And the worst thing was that during the last few seconds I was again feeling we wouldn’t have made it.

I felt clearly we weren’t there to feel any lucky or mighty.

Last year instead I was always feeling we were there to subvert the impossible.

Grrr.

But don’t fail yourself: we’ll win this Ring too.

And these hard moments will lead us exactly there.

After a resounding Three Losses Streak, this past night we faced Houston Rockets at their home:

I actually can, and that is what makes the whole situation really strange for me.

But as I said, I’m sure we’ll bounce back.

I AM SURE OF IT.

Okay… now it’s time for a lot (and I mean LOT) of cuteness, because after such a gloomy unhappy break we all need it, but especially I DO.

Especially because looks like there’s a lot of people coming round after two days ago CBS broadcasted the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2010, showing Adam and the boys cheering on Anne multiple times and therefore raising the question that yesterday made “Adam’s Levine Girlfriend” the most popular Google topic (WOW!!).

Adam and Anne. Gosh... when they smile together sun shines brighter. SOOOO Beautiful they are.

Of course straight after that there started swirling up uncontrolled and idiot news about them being ready to marry or even already expecting a child (PLEASE!!! She’s a model… She won’t feather a baby any quick… though I truly hope they will procreate sooner than later because they’re so beautiful their kids would be SPARKLING) and hilariously some of the pictures of Anne were actually of Angela or of Becky (?? how such shorties could model in catwalks??) and even Maria Sharapova (oh, boy… Internet pics databases… the hell of the unawares… ;)!).

Is it that strange to do some decent web researches before writing idiocities?

Luckily over here we got them together from the very first start… and actually from that first stroll, somebody shared even this link (yep, February 19th, 2010 in Los Angeles… but that was just the first time that month they allowed people to catch them up, as the whole thing started as you know after February 10th…)

Fact is they are blissfully happy together though and surely I wish them all those steps as soon as they’ll like to take them.

They’re a wonderful sight together… no other couple ever pleased me so much that I wasn’t personally a friend of. 😉

I have the whole of the VSFS (and you gotta check from start to end because they keep appearing…) but it comes at the end, because as you know I post things in chronological order here 😉

Let’s get back to the start from just where we left, the day of Anne and Adam reaching back Los Angeles (of course together.. and they’ve spent a lot of time together this November… awwww the supercuteness indeed!).

Adam could barely hold himself thinkin of what he would have done on Wednesday, because sure his first Lakers game live this season was a treat, but so was the Conan O’Brien show.

He adores comedy, you know.

But before that, Maroon5 let us know that the same Wednesday France tv would have aired the episode of Taratata the guys did actually record back in September (check this post about it… it was when Adam and Anne finally re-met in Paris after a month apart… ;)).

I think the whole show and the interview was AMAZING…

Especially the lovely part in the interview where Adam, after the interviewer was asking him about his dozens of female conquers, and if that about him had changed at all, he just pointed out his girlfriend was there (awww… “petite amie”… sounds so lovely in French).

Another totally awesome thing from the Taratata special is the final video request by Adam and Jesse, showing us and reminding us how much Mr. Levine adored/adores one of my iconic bands, Oasis (still mourn that they split, and I am overexcited that Noel is RECORDING!!!! Whooo-hooo!).

When he gets thoughtful in pictures... I love the vibe entirely.

This is nothing that should surprise us and in fact, transcended by empathy about the request, I just created a video with 170 pictures of Adam and the guys (and Adam and Anne somewhere to0), some drawings of Karim, and put in Maroon 5 covers of Oasis’ Don’t Look Back In Anger – sorry for the radio audio quality – and Hello, from Live On Friday The 13th. Then I closed it with a real Oasis jam ;).

While they were moving from London to LA, it appeared the list of their World tour, encompassing among the rest Australia, Indonesia, Santo Domingo, Porto Rico (check their website, okay?).

I also found this interview that I quite liked:

The morning after their arrival back in Los Angeles, Adam and Anne became very chatty, letting us step into their world together.

I still appalled anytime Adam quotes classic albums, a too wide majority of his “fans” don’t get a clue about it.

What a bunch of illiterate ~~idiots~~ folks…

The times he must shake head had to be countless with some people (Sticky Fingers is one of the most iconic Rolling Stones Album, you darn mo**ns… Fans like you are better being lost than taken…Geez).

Talkin about music, then, that day Adam actually went to a studio (Henson one again?) to record a collaboration that he wasn’t sharing details of, but that gave him “Very Positive Feelings”.

After which he replied so (weeks earlier he was debating with his friends how much his eggs were best eggs ever… ;)) to her:

I have rooted for them straight… the very first sight I caught of Adam smiling for her THAT open way, she conquered me.

And you know which fix I have with Mr. Levine… but she’s like… a person you cannot hate onto.

They’re completely perfect for one another…

So much, that when Adam left to go to rehearsal for the Conan show of that day (the show is recorded during daytime to be broadcasted at late evening, ad it’s taped in Burbank, so he had to move quickly after that breakfast), and she took some parking/driving lessons in the maintime, the fact that she hummed one of HIS cars in the process was certainly forgiven by him.

How eras change!! 🙂

We all know how much Adam loves his cars, and everything that is “motor” related so the fact she can even crash them is a perfect measure of how much he loves her, in fact.

When the reharsal became backstage, and after Anne of course joined her beau, Maroon 5 taped their performance (awesome) and so, as you expect, you can actually watch it here.

I actually loved Hart Hanson‘ (Bones creator) tweet at Adam about the outfit he would have worn during the show (yep, it is a reference to what you’ve seen in the previous post), but then he was dressed.

TIGHTLY (oh, man…).

As you know, after the taping of Conan Adam and Anne went to the Lakers vs. Chicago Bulls basketball game.

Adam was very happy to finally check his first Lakers game of the year LIVE, (you’ve seen the pictures up), but another thing that made him happy, and his lady VERY proud and sharing as well, was that he actually also went interviewed for the NBA Fan Of the Week show.

AWESOME… Check it (isn’t he so totally amazing? Oh dear… too bad after that game he had to suffer what we all Lakerholics did… from the stars to stables… but we’ll get back up to starred sky soon, no question!)

After that we learnt once more about Adam (and Anne’s there agreeing too) passion for sushi; I love that he loves mostly Italian and Japanese food (well, when he doesn’t go junk food, which it happens pretty often… if he hadn’t that metabolic fastness he possesses, he would be obese ;)), because… well, I’m Italian with a Japanese crush ;).

The Thursday it was Thanxgiving.

Such an important family time you know.

Adam acknowledged well, and openly, how much he has to be thankful for.

Doesn’t go difficult to catch what (and WHO) was making him particularly grateful in those hours.

I really enjoyed to think that the two lovers were together that day especially.

As you can see, Anne’s just so simple, adorable, truly down to Earth type of girl and she totally sounds and appears as the perfect companion for Adam.

She is that kind of woman who can keep a man, especially when a bit messy, in line with tenderness and plus she can make him laugh (because she can be as cutely dorky as actually also Adam gets very often).

Then of course, being looking as a Fairy Goddess, she has all other qualities any man could ask for, hasn’t she?

The day after Thanxgiving, while they were about to enjoy last hours together (for that week span ;)), Adam tweeted something that some of his fans found strange or unexpected:

He's just chemically&physically unique. Naturally.

Adam’s ADD is certainly a bland form of it, but in many many ways, anyone observing him, or getting how much hyperactive and rebellious he naturally is can understand how some of his fascinating, unique antics come also from the way that disorderly attention plays within him.

I am sure no one thinks he is strange or anything… his symptoms are actually very much in line with TONS of other artists’ ones, and he is such a greater cutie due to those sides of his behavior, it’s hard to picture him with a dysfunction, rather than with a flamboyant persona that has nothing border-ly about it (and to me, there’s nothing border-ly about him) .

Many of the best musicians, actors, play-writers, and a fair majority of past centuries most prolific and genius poets were clearly ADD subjected.

I am a chemist and a biologist and to me that side of Adam is just a sign Nature wanted him special and peculiar.

And then we get to enjoy his totally off the way sitting down style 😉

I’m sure you understand why he NEEDS to be a musician and also why he enjoys the focusing of yoga that much; you probably also get why he’s so impulsive and sexually charged (that is an often related need of ADD people, too), and maybe also why he finds the slowing down power of pot that intriguing (I won’t ever follow him there, but he doesn’t kill anyone with that).

His fast mind slowing down helps him to relax: therefore anything that holds that power is a healing gift for him.

Again… in all of his lyrics you can guess about these dynamics… well, if you’re smart enough and educated enough at least.

I thank above for creating such a lovely man, so full of talent, so that he could turn his uniquely chaotic self into an uniquely inspiring master to many people out there.

Anyway, enough of this (I still appalled on how much ignorant about life topics some of his “fans” are… how could they not get he could have easily been a subject of that? It ain’t such a deal, get over it…) and back to the last hours the two lovers could spend together in Los Angeles before having to move to the East Coast for different working tasks.

Too bad Lakers really did not help them in feeling too quiet… but then maybe they just enjoyed to sex the disappointment up after (Karim and I surely did 😉).

Surely as per usual Adam gets the most romantic and lyrical when he’s with Anne.

And as per usual, his native town truly sets him up for being the best he can be.

Airport time always makes Adam chatty, and he did also because Anne’s flight was prior two abundant hours compared to his.

He then teased us up.

A lot.

I love his way to be sexually charged 24/7.

As they landed in Nashville, Maroon 5 met straight some legend.

I was thinkin they were there at the CMT Artist Of The Year Awards to honor Lady Antebellum by that point… you will see in a while I was wrong.

Also, it seems that Adam keeps being very inspired about writing lately (who wouldn’t be in his shoes…), this regardless of places or weather actually.

While being apart, on that 30th of November, Adam and Anne had to think about how to list their tv watching.

Because that same day, Cbs was broadcasting finally the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, while on another channel the third season finale of Sons Of Anarchy was on.

You know they’re both SOA freaks… but of course they both wanted to watch VSFS first.

You know that I have the whole show…

And now is actually the time to let you see it.

They are absolutely wonderful… truly best part of the show was to see how in love these two are…:

Anne though, in between cute tweets exchanged with John Legend’s ladylove Christine Teigen (a fellow SI model… and a very cute kind person, though I keep not understanding how people shorter than me can model, since I am 5’9” and Teigen – like that bland Lily Aldrige – is 5’8”…), had sadly to discover she would have missed the broadcast, due to the fact her plane back from South Carolina to New York home would have been delayed and she would have been traveling just exactly by he time of CBS telecast.

She sounded disheartened at some point… I would have been not happy as well.

But then, some kind heart managed anyway to let her see it all 😉

Before her flight took over she was watchin tv in the lobby and once again it’s clear that she shares lots of things with her man, who’s a total Stevie Wonder devotee, too.

What were Maroon5 up to for the CMT Awards?

Well, you know I don’t really click with Country… but when I even learnt that they were up to cover TAYLOR SWIFT I chuckled.

Really.

I am having such a hard time dealing with this (in the whole Kanye‘s thing, you know what i think, and I wonder how Adam can feel being of my same school of life about it?), even though I was sure by the time Swift’s “romance” (??) with Jake Gyllenhaal was made public, someway their roads would have crossed.

But really???

Oh, boy... everything I did NOT want to see...

Okay that you guys OF COURSE have done an amazing job on it an definitely transformed a lukewarm “hit” in a classy turnover of sound but… REALLY???

Yesterday then the day was quiet… Guys had a chat time in Nashville (if I can find a transcript of it I’ll put it up next time, along to what hasn’t surfaced yet that I have spoke about today), prior to learn that they had again gained a Grammy Nomination for Misery in the Best Pop Performance category (yesterday there was the Grammy Nomination Day).

Having candidate themselves only in 6 categories (due to the release time for HAO, check my previous post where I did post the prenominees link list) it’s already a good achievement that Maroon5 got again acknowledged as they deserve to.

I am APPALLED just at the composition of the Pop Album Category (only deserving one there is Gaga, but then I sadly knew it would have been an hard time for HAO), and about any of Katy Perry and Justin Bieber nomination, but beside that I am really pleased with the rest of the nominations, especially about Arcade Fire and Cee-Lo’s ones, because if you read this blog you know I tipped those (and Eminem and Gaga) all year long to take the major honors this year.

But yeah… That Pop Album Category and Perry+Bieber let me fear that like last year with friggin Swift there will be some to be ashamed for this year too at the Grammy Awards.

Oh well.

At least we know who’s gonna shine on red carpet, don’t we?:

Hola there, world!

So I will have to learn it all for real 😉

This is the post which will keep you company for more or less ten days, because I’m just about to leave to New York for my first ever “Family Bound Thanxgiving“… I won’t use pc there, I won’t even Lakers Blogging and to be honest also Twitter will be very sporadic.

When even Twitter gets downsized, you know it’s pretty much IT, don’t you?

You know why I will back off from connectivity for those few days already.

When we hang with K’s fam we gotta be very private, in communicative restraint (sounds dramatic but it’s not) and anyway we have to just enjoy one another’s presence and company more, considering we meet very rarely (not lately, but it will always be so beside HUGE commitments).

It’s K’s time and I gotta get into this whole Thanxgiving thing for real 😉

I have even ask tips about real Thankgiving to my peeps, and still all I know is that is gonna be a very cozy and pleasant time.

We give out for practically granted that K’s fam will visit us during Christmas time instead.

My mum is already guessing what and how to organize to make them feel fine enough – somebody please explain to her THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION – especially cos if it’d ever be so, we could NEVER win it.

I come after a week of fever – and after a very demanding Monday at work, where I had to plan not only the way to communicate with colleagues while in USA, but also put down a scratch for the working meetings I will have with my USA partners in Manhattan later this week – and after a weekend in the mountains where my crew pampered me at once and also was keen to make me remember for them I’m always the silly funny and weird Zaira.

I love my peeps cos they keep me very grounded; I would be so selfish without them… and way, way more of a loner, because in my world, there’s no point in being forcedly social if people around you are stupid or unworthy.

I love my crew because they’re very smart, inventive, and pretty badass innovative, curious guys…

Being social is fun then.

I feel challenged by feeling accepted in my uniqueness by them at the same time: it’s a very democratic crew, my own one.

Adam = Perfection in grey tee.

So yes… I’m a cheerful happy madhead… yep… that one in love with life you know of.

And in love with Karim, too.

I wish I could share the tips about making hot sex when being hot fevered but this way the blog would probably censored so use your imagination, because you can bet I did not pass a day without sexual play, not even when fever was chopping me down sleeping a total of 17 hours out of 24.

My sexuality can’t be tamed 😉

Funny enough, Karim confessed if I were okay past week he would have allowed me outer-ly spaced role play – which means I could have seduced somebody under his eyes, and then he would have had to act consequently to stop the game on the more important *progressive moment*.

I am sure we can resurrect that.

Maybe even in New York?

On the sporty side, while Milan keeps ruling Serie A, still thanx to Ibrahimovic (sorry Meli Angel if we trashed your Fiorentina: you actually did not deserve to lose but we gotta win this year so… take my apologies but know I’m not really that shattered we took more than we should had 😉 opsie…).

After they broke my heart (see previous post) Lakers went on a successful and sparkling three win trip, starting in Milwaukee against the Bucks… > :

Then roading it up more against the once fierce opponents of Detroit, the Pistons (insert bleeding middle 2004 memories…) > :

and to wrap it up against the ~~Timberkittens~~… ops, Timberwolves (they’re so cute tho… in Eminem’s voice ;))

After that Lakers went back home and on the Sunday game they did THIS:

Trust me you don’t understand if you haven’t seen it…. it was just unfair the way we are superior, that I felt in chat for the poor Warriors.

Now let’s bring the Bulls, and see if we face some difficulty (hardly).

Didn’t expect to find Adam courtside because Europe still had long wrapped its arms onto him enough to make him flying in no fitting time for the game, especially in a day when downtown LA was involved not only with the Lakers but also with the American Music Award (I won’t comment: you just have to know FUCKIN’ Justin Bieber won it all; a further testify about the embarrassing way music state is at nowadays, after years of “vote for your fav” and low approach to music such as reality show contests have poisoned the general perception of the always lazy public audience).. But then you can never know until things happen, right?), so even though he landed (later than expected) around 3 pm there, I was kinda sure we wouldn’t have seen him, nor Anne, who’s with him of course in Los Angeles too.

And he surely had a wonderful time going around Italy, France, Nederlands AND especially UK, where he had the best possible company along (yes, of course lovely Anne) in the past ten days, didn’t he?

There are so many things that I have to put in this countdown…

Hewl, I thought in a week it couldn’t have happened this much but IT DID!!!

Gotta find a rhythm that won’t dry me off.

This blog at some point simply won’t post EVERYTHING, and I will select stuff because this pace is killing me ;).

Lenny Kravitz actually was in Paris those days and he’s recording in his Paris home... did I get it right that that former digit’s exchange created one of the best assets that day? I am sure I did ;)), Anne had moved from LA to LONDON (yeah… the beauty of fitting schedules ;)).

While partying up at Lenny, Adam could gather some bro beside those he was physically with; I guess in many ways the nerd-only-when-about-to-play-videogames can now also enjoy technology for a lots of others resourceful pluses.

After Paris the guys moved to Amsterdam, and they went in for the usual showcase + interview streak.

The liberal town got the most out of Adam while traveling, because beside sharing Hanky Panky hunger (and Hanky Panky is in the Red District, of course) Adam also shared why he loves to follow Snoop Dogg (lol…).

That morning, though, just before starting her first day shooting for the London based advertising, sweet Annie burnt herself… with tea.

She had worst concerns after all, and that explains why she distracted herself enough to harm her lovely skin (wow… imagine her and Adam watchin together that? Two complete fanatics hand in hand ;))

Anyway, Adam went in fact to Hanky Panky, and we have pic testify of it in this shot of him (dressed with the shirt he’d be wearing also at their showcase that night) and famous tattoo artist Henk Schiffmacher:

The very morning after the gig, Adam and Maroon5 moved to London (without PJ, who headed back home for a coupla days before they start again the holiday stops starting from Conan on November 23th), and Adam got to reflect about the way people sometimes perceive him…

He also said he relies to sleepless nights to write new songs and then he was gracious enough to thank Destiny for the way that insomnia is actually the measure of a privileged life

I put it safely that this happens when he is ALONE sleepless at nights (even though the moments when he is not alone provide surely… subjects ;)).

His main “subject” and reason for happy sleepless-ness was that morning alone in London keeping shooting for the advertising (Martha had already ended her part allegedly) and she also experienced a shooting situation her half already also got to impersonate (Wake Up Call uncensored version, anyone?).

Awww.

They’re so in synch even about freaky jobs ;)!

While in England though, Adam should have known better to not irritate the most famous in the world British Export: Harry Potter of course.

Sweetheart Adam is more on the Spielberg’s side of the fence of all-time gaining franchises, we know… 😉

We also know that minibar aren’t a solely Anne’s weakness; actually they might mutually enforce one another there!

While waiting for Anne to end her job and get back in his arms, what do you think Adam did?

Because he really, really can get “lyrical” about his fancy videogame predilection 😉

The morning after he had to wake up soon because it was HIS turn to work and after he shared overflowing enthusiasm for small things, he probably stood corrected by I dunno… ~~something~~ someone he might have favoring MORE and changed his tweet? 😉

We can still blame coffee lacking anyway… lmao!

What was Adam doing?

He was getting readied for the reharsals of the Children In Need BBC programming and got also interviewed by Emma Bunton, of the Spice Girls fame, yep.

While the rehearsals were a great thing, the day developed WAY way better than just us getting the chronicles of them.

Yes… believe; well we did know Adam loves boxer briefs… but… oh, my… I would have honestly NEVER hoped that one day he would have put himself (under our own eyes) in the position where he would actually hint about it in a manner that would make that small vestment result… obsolete to wear!!!

The day after the guys had free time in the morning, that they spent in different ways.

Therefore and predictably then, Jesse was very educated, James was very very sporty at the ATP World Tour in London (look below, and crack especially at Andy Roddick’s “Man, are you Kidding Me?”), while Adam… well, Adam was VERY Adam ;).

But let’s have Jimmy V and his “monster forehand” get into spotlight… enjoy 😉

While his bandmates were having their fav fun types, Adam and Anne did their thing as well, making the usually grey London be nonetheless pleasurable and charming (awww… love… ;)).

Then at the evening Maroon5 were at the UK National Lottery Draw Show (still I haven’t decent quality videos for it yet, when I’ll have I might post them because Adam was lovely in it… and the host, Gethin Jones, could just acknowledge it) which is always having famous “pushers” in their saturday specials.

Well, yesterday was flying day to get back to Los Angeles, and we don’t understand if Adam just woke up prior to leave his room or if he did yoga (I am sure the latter is the correct answer…); while we are sure, but unaware (and madly curious) he left some writing of his own to replace the writing he did find when checkin into the room (hopefully the picture was taken the first moment he checked into the room? mysteries… funny mysteries ;)) he had in London.

To me even the fact he did notice tells how much he’s into romance these days.

And it’s ALL wonderful.

Let me just tell you this night while I was in chat for the Lakers with the fam (I’m so gonna miss them for a week!!!) iTunes made my pre-order for Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy available so this morning I am on a total trip.

In a perfect world such an album would stay on top of any chart for ages, but even though I’m SURE it will debut at number 1, and maybe it will stay on a bit, these days quality is just not promoted so I can see haters or stupid sheeps prevail in the long shot.

Oh well… I hope he brings his music in Italy, otherwise I’ll check him live in other Countries 😉 No probs.

But while the loss against Denver in Denver on Friday really did not affect me (as you can know from my usual daily posts from Los Angeles Times Lakers Blog), this time against Phoenix Suns REALLY I was disappointed because I did not expect such a downlow.

We played JUST as Phoenix wished to.

We always leave up open 3s, but this time really I felt like we were just letting it go.

We kept being (just like we were against Denver) majorly unbalanced and unconnected.

And yet Kobe isn’t Kobe fully (but this I know it was bound to happen, I gained my Reader Comment Of The Day upon that idea so it’s not there that I felt my disappointment coming).

Oh well… these are the two games that we have lost in the past 3 day (we still THREEPEAT… no question about it… don’t take my disappointment as a lack of faith cos my faith is backed by way more certainties than not the little moment of blur we lived this past night):

To keep track on bad sporty things, Formula 1 was also a blowout, but then Alonso and I aren’t buddies so I did not really feel that trashed at all.

To save the DAY and WAY more than the day and sporty weekend though…

Milan stays up leading Serie A because yesterday WE TRIUMPHED IN THE DERBY, no matter if we did play for a lot 10 against 11, and thanx to the best scorer we could have been picked to bury Inter, IBRAHIMOVIC!!!!!

What a satisfaction, man!!!!

Actually also the awesome sex Karim and I had this morning after the game did… but then you know I do my best to take Sexual Healing seriously and so does Karim 😉

Now let’s talk about my wonderful weekend and the way we spent time with our wedding planner, the flamboyant yet stylish Vic.

She rocks.

I fell in love with her and her ideas; Karim was so happy because he insisted for us to hire her and now I can see why he’s always right in my book ;).

She met and stayed with us; she took us all out for shopping (both clothes and piece of furniture, just to check out our tastes and the way we match them) and out to dinner… she met my family and enjoyed Lodi’s Chocolando Feast (too bad weather was awful).

It goes alone that I am already thinkin about my marriage dress ;).

We had a wonderful and really useful time and we practically agreed in getting to Japan first for checking venues around my Birthday time.

HANAMI, baby!!!!

To call myself delighted is an understatement.

In this blissful series of event, really, I didn’t even mind to have to lose Maroon5 in Rome.

Well, that goes easier because Marghe got to live it all instead from my parental house in Borgo Pio, so I have a lot of… erm… souvenirs 😉

What I love is to keep hearing from Anna Pettinelli how awesome live they have been (I know because I got Marghe’s words there, but Anna is another thing obviously ;))

The day after they went as planned to Amici, but due to the fact they had the plane to Paris at 5 pm, they had to perform straight in the presentation segment.

That was GREAT because they could avoid DePippis’ awful face, but on he download they had to face that idiot subpar journalist which is Luca Dondoni messing it all up during the interview (luckily Adam couldn’t really get a word that idiot said in Italian, because he would have punched him… erm… let’s inform Dondoni that Maroon5 are active from 2001, NOT 2005. In 2005 your lame ass knew about them because you only reckon what comes in Italy by the time it does come here… but not everyone gets famous first here, you dumb one!).

After that, past Lady Gaga gig, we will attend again Scala Première and WAGNER’s Valkirya!!!!

But okay, let’s get back into Maroon5 chronicle because actually in a way this “sooner than expected” update is functional to the impressive amounts of Victoria’s Secrets Fashion Show pictures that I have to show off.

We know Adam and actually the band as well attended the show, and it was an outburst of loveliness and open affectionate display of pride.

Okay, back at the chronicles of Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show now.

While Anne was getting preppy starting from the wee hours of the morning, (show was taped twice… first at 3 and then at 8 in the evening with the whole crowd of public attendance, and it will be broadcasted November 30th), in her apartment Adam was having his “perfectly self-served” breakfast, at a time that I won’t comment (afternoon?).

Having time before heading to the Armory, he just decided watchin Sons of Anarchy was more than due (like he needs a push there ;)).

But when he went down to please and praise his lady…

OH!!!

He truly outdid himself.

He was with James and Jesse and he met also Cobra Starship’s Gabe Saporta (they’re gonna touring with them and Sara Bareilles in Australia in May actually, and they’re longtime buddies), but really he outdid himself,starting as soon as he went into the Armory:

First you gotta have the body to wear that and second it was sexy as hell but still really fashionable and classy.

Quite aptly, there were fashionistas who were smart enough to give Adam a note up for his style at the event (and indeed he managed to just be fashionably himslef this time) :

After the well due party, Adam and Anne had both a day to cope with posthumous of partying it up.

Actually Adam had to fight symptoms better cos he had a flight to catch from JFK to Rome at around 5 pm ;), while she actually was able to sleep and rest and cuddle the whole day.

He managed to kill waiting time by buying something that I have bought as well this summer for my iPhone (somewhere in the posts of my summer you see my iPhy cased into my protection waterproof… if I remember correctly there was a magazine of Anne aside actually ;)).

As soon as he went into Italy’s soil, of course first thing he thought of was pizza (oh, man…), while Jesse, way more lyrical, at sunset shot this beautiful picture from Monte Mario (where RDS Auditorium is).

In our territory they had time to tell us about new sections available for SIN members (I’m not, so I know this thanx to Marghe ;))

Also Anne had to leave soon from NY: her gig these days is actually in Los Angeles (the irony…) but she’s there in hotel and enjoying the facilities there as she shots her campaign in Golden Coast.

Her modeling gig left her in a look that seems directly taken off from her boyfriend’s style as of late, don’t you think?

After Rome, guys went to Paris (where they still be) and have recorded a showcase, got the news that they are candidate at NRJ Awards, and are warming up to move first to Amsterdam for another shocase (exactly tomorrow) and then to UK for the Children In Need BBC benefit (during weekend).

In Paris they also had time to meet up with their friend Julian P., who’s always so cute (and quite tall, the guy is!).

In their frenzy times of course they still manage to be funny and loveable.

And as it always happens when boredom catches him (or when he has to wait for his lady to catch up from the other side of the world and viceversa), Adam produces some of his best tweets when he notices things foreign in his unique way.

9 hours of time gap also get on Anne, but she has found ways to cope with that thanx to a gal pal (the same gal pal that was in the very very first photo of Adam cheering on her from LA while she was catwalking in Paris back at the start of March – I never forget a face, check freely… gal is the same.).

Another gal pal instead was with her shopping at The Grove (sigh… wanna get there too…) and catchin up movies ;).

About Lakers… I prefer to not comment any furtherly (sigh…).

Soooooo.

Oldie of Adam and Anne in February 2009 at Lakers game: they just got back from a getaway weekend together actually,prior to his San Francisco gig and prior of her Victoria Secret's Fashion Show.

Lotta to list and to say, so we better start it off.

I’m kinda dead after a really fulfilled time; I had a wonderful and intense 4 days in row Halloween Party time, and I gotta thank that in Italy 1st of November is National holiday, because if I hadn’t rested that day after parties and Lakers Watch, the subsequent further two days, where I have caught both Sting and Prince playing in Milan, and subsequently on each occasion wake up at 3.30 am to catch the Lakers, I would have probably died.

After the intensive streak, even though I was thinkin of updating blogs, we just went on a calmer lock-down along Karim, and enjoyed quieter weekend, a couple MORE Lakers watch on Garda Lake (we brought Swifty along too! My lovely horse enjoyed the surroundings of the lake a LOT!!!) and one back home, and so today which is Wednesday the 10th th November I update, like a week after the originally planned time.

I always try to plan these updates being less delayed, expecially now that Lakers play every two days.

But it never works so, and now I am realizing it won’t get any better in incoming months, so…

Basically…

Get used.

My days are filled… so much that I am actually thinkin I will have to follow dad’s advice and hire a personal assistant of some sort.

Trouble is… I don’t want to.

I’m the ultimate organizer (and control freak) and to delegate… still a thing of horror to me.

But I have to admit especially with the new USA partnership AND all the things that our incoming marriage brings on the table, a secretary or an assistant might be of an extreme help (just today I had a whole day long meeting which dried me completely off, but which was a complete success, too).

Let’s see ( I will talk more about this later).

Now back on the sporty side, just so I get back by osmosis some kick ass energy 😉

Because there’s a lot (well, there’s a lot everywhere actually that has to be said… life and love… whoooo!)

Yep, I am 6 Lakers games behind commitments, and I will limit myself to post the videos of the games, and just small footnotes because you know that my daily commentaries about Lakers gotta be checked @lakers blog @latmedina…through my daily “Post of The Day” that I link in my own Twitter.

Yep, Lakers have been a test in sure.

But mostly for my skills at being awake, because we don’t have a concern in the world with this INCREDIBLY amazing team.

First game I gotta recap over was on Halloween Day, and we won over Golden State Warriors:

We just rule.

On the subsequent game, the first back to back of the season against the Sacramento King, I had to give up to chatting and game at half of it.

Yep, I was dried up after 6 hours sleep in two and half days, and after a great Prince gig; I tried to stay awake but I wouldn’t have been able to work if I had followed all the game live.

So I waved goodbye to the Fam and went to bed, ASSURED we would have won.

Kobe already in the first half looked fantabulous… so I had no doubts or worrisome thought whatsoever.

Of course I was right.

WE are so much better than anything else and Kobe… wow…

Karim went at my lab this lunch break to allow me to watch the half of the game he saw live and I did miss to sleep and I couldn’t even eat properly, raptured by Kobe’s shining greatness.

I suppose my system had to sleep and pile that greatness today and not yesterday, because I would have got an overload if after THE AMAZING PRINCE, and after Pippo Inzaghi triumphant game against Real Madrid, I would have also got to memorize so much from him.

Kobe Bryant is unbelievable.

Unbeatable.

The Best.

THE GOD.

End of it.

Accept it, surrender, and bow to him- NOW.

You will have to eventually anyway.

Oh, and while we’re on that subject of Milan, sure I missed to not being in San Siro to pay tribute to the great Pippo… I loved this interview he gave after game: really, really enchanting and true and real. Now take what he did (this is the only comment I could find, and I like the internationality of it 😉 Guy is really into Pippo, too!):

Pippo is unique too. His ethic and love for his sport actually is similar to Kobe’s although class-like he’s not a god-sent.

After that game it was time to face homies… to be more precise Toronto Raptors (finally a game where we got tested and we went a bit messy, but survived thanx especially to Pau and Kobe and Derek. Defensive efforts gotta be checked, but I prefer to be tested rather than not you know it):

Actually the game was watched by us not live… because we were at my Garda Lake house but weather was stormy and the whole of internet connections (Vodafone AND Wind AND 3…) seemed off.

We tried to make NBA pass work then we gave up and went to bed (of course tv screens were broadcasting Miami Meat… hilarious cos the Meat LOST… ahahhaah!!! Double pleasure because as you will see later in the Babies’ section Adam and Anne were in Miami that weekend and after the game they went to famous nightclub LIV, celebrating their love and getaway, and certainly Lakers victory AND Miami Meat débacle…).

No chats either but when we watched the game the afternoon of Saturday we LOVED it even though (or maybe exactly because) it was battled out.

Out of a 6-0 run we faced then Portland Trail Blazers, our archi-enemies and at home it happened that Pau Gasol just was unstoppable.

Wow, the game was like a trashing in motion.

Actually the only one not being amazing and incredibly dominant was (hold breath) exactly Kobe.

I wouldn’t start (like BSPN will do…) to break the hair in four pieces about that: it was just an off shooting game, it can happen, and the point is last years we would have suffered out of that, this year instead we just ridiculed our always loathed Portland rivals.

I wouldn’t really be worried at all: in fact poor next in lines, YOU Timberwolves: Kobe can just have plans to eat you alive just to prove there’s no trouble in Lakers Land (and there’s NOT for real):

I am honestly in awe of my Lakers.

And on the other sporty side, Ferrari might win the racers title still (let’s hope, even though Alonso ain’t my buddy); while Milan can have something still to say in Serie A and Champions League.

It’s a good moment of the year 😉

We terminate the sport section with the latest of the 6 games that I had watched…

It’s still early seasonal time and I’m actually glad we won, though I had to re-watch the game during today’s lunch break at work cos again Internet and NBA pass were messy this past night and after a stream of lost attempts at regular viewing I stopped chatting and watching and went back sleeping at 5.30 am.

In time to see at least the end of the OT – THAT game was the one broadcasted on tv… shame still on Sky Italia – after which the 3Chokers finished getting beated up by Utah Jazz (ahhahhahhha…. LOSERS… lmao…).

Wonder if Divine Adam will see his wish coming true and rankings of NBA pay more due respect to our Lakers (I doubt it).

We just need to tic and toc next one… that’s gonna be demanding cos it’s Thuggets at their home and you know I have always a certain scare of Denver (well… not scare.. you get me what I mean, right?).

Anyway, Lakers are gonna THREEPEAT.

No doubts.

Let’s enjoy the ride up and down, and let’s not freakout when (soon or later it’s gonna happen and it will be healthy) we will also lose some games.

Well, a bit of life blogging now, although I have already said something up above.

Our own Halloween has been easily spectacular, and you know a bit of it if you follow me on my twitter.

4 Days party time, from Thursday to Sunday, and each party was amazing, even though us hosting more than 70 people at Karim’s flat was obviously the best part of it.

We love to throw huge parties, but we are also very open in forcing our best peeps to stay and then help us clear and clean it all the morning after (yes we did ;)).

Everyone had a blast at each party, we met also new interesting people along (a rarity these days) and unsurprisingly our outfits (see previous post) were totally loved and praised and probably made a few a bit green… all good&better, yep ;).

Of course we keep getting questioned about our marriage, everywhere we go and at any event we are at, and that happened also on the Halloween feasts… people wanna know every detail but baby… it’s ME: of course you will never know until it happens like we want it to happen.

You just have to know your lives are BOOKED and in August 2011 part of your holiday time will be a 5 days trip to Japan.

My friends are freakin out about that, in the best possible sense of the words.

Sometimes the fact I am rich and I marry a RIDICULOUSLY richer person is REALLY good.

We can make every person that we love fly and stay with us in one of the most fascinating places ever in OUR great day and this is just sublime.

I shouldn’t brag because that doesn’t depend on any talent or merit and it’s just fate… graciously kind fate that we are upon to; but one thing we can control over and it’s this: since we can afford it, we’ll try our best to spread the joy and make everyone feel in a dream, because it’s how we feel and friends involve friends in their best assets ever, genuinely and generously.

While we were getting questioned about Japan, marriage and trip, we actually also made our minds up about how we will spend New Years Eve, and where: no more Prague or Budapest, because Karim will be there next year for working duties and so we will be there anyway…

We’ll love to claim wishes in French those days…

I can picture us there already 😉

Beside that, and among lots of incumbencies (for instance, this incoming weekend I can’t be in Rome as Maroon 5 come – see later – because from New York it arrives our wedding planner and we can’t leave Milan… so my family house there will host Marghe alone that better give me QUALITY stuff from their RDS showcase ;)…) we are starting training up for the incoming snowboard season.

Soon we will get back to mountains.

Too bad among the many things we’re among (you know mine more, but trust me Karim is as taken if not MORE sometimes… but he never whines. I’m the whining one ;)…) we are ditching what was one of last year’s most entertaining habit: the Wii League Thursdays.

We will resume those maybe exactly in the friendly weekends at mountains?

I hope cos we really like playing Wii all together.

But these times to arrange a total Thursday all together is really hard.

We will be in New York for the Thanxgiving time, celebrating with Karim’s family in the Big Apple cos we are finally looking also for a two room Manhattan pad.

YESSSSSS!!!!

But we really just want a small getaway, REALLY small, a bedroom and a kitchen, so that we can avoid hotel rooms.

We still want it in the Flatiron/Gramercy zone and hopefully, especially with Karim’s parents in town, we should seal the deal (even if we get the keys in 12 months it will be okay).

The New York spot will be useful also because with the new working partnership I’m meant to travel frequently there for touch&go’s and to have a pad and not have to rely on hotels for maybe 18 hours just stops would be light years better, you know ;).

Last year memories of when Karim and I still parted for long days… it was the first time I realized I couldn’t really enjoy time parted from him, if it weren’t just a day or two.

Okay… while we are on music subject, let me just say that latest EMA were hilarious.

They should just stop doing awards… they’ve lost any serious relevance and while I was ready to take off Grammies from the lameness, last year Taylor Swift’s win proved also Grammy are a sham, so I’m just on a roll and include them in the whole same list too.

It was the time when I grew back hope in the good genes of my Countrymen.

The highlight, as everytime he does anything, was the purest HUMANIST of the past 6 centuries: ROBERTO BENIGNI.

This man is a miracle of grace.

Time for goodness in music now… and there is LOT to say and track, so… get ready.

Not many videos today, because until kids get back in Europe for promotional duties (starting exactly with Italy) not much is around (some will come from Monday past night in San Francisco as well though, soon or later, I hope), but we have TONS of pics so don’t complain 😉

Let’s start from where we left two weeks ago then 😉

Lovely babies where on the last steps of their national tour second leg, and where in Windy Chi Town.

From second leg of the tour - 1-

I was composing tables to guess which space of time Adam and Anne had to complete their respective tasks (question: was the swimsuit shooting of her in Turks and Caicos the one for ANOTHER – it’d be the 7th consecutive… kinda unprecedented! – annual spread for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition? I hope we’ll know about that sooner than later… ;)) so that they could reunite for Adam’s annual Halloween Party and I was thinkin “Wow… a life on airplanes… but sure it values the efforts!”, when following latest streams of music bites along, that in some moments also made Divine Adam filled with expectations.

When Adam was wrapping up gig in Chicago, Anne was returning in her New York house btw.

I was thinkin they might have gone with matching outfits (Adam and Eve?) but I undervalued the need of Adam of being a kid and loving a lot being covered in bruises and bums in all of his Halloween latest offering as for disguises (not that we complain… >>> *hotness* never makes me complain ;)).

In the Chicago date Adam actually went walking in the middle of the crowd (imagine the squealing…) 😉 and I honestly REALLY hope he will replicate that as many times as possible (prepare bottles and jars to store his sweat… one day technology will be able to clone that 😉 *kidding*… THEY COULD ALREDY!!! Okay… still kidding ;)) because of course that can make anyone go crazy.

It’s also their way to be totally lovely when they meet up fans that keeps making me enjoy these guys.

They’re good guys.

Guys were very thankful for the way the month of October had made them feel, and as it always happen, I melt when they are so openly cute (aww).

I also really enjoy to follow the ongoing tacky taste of Adam for his kiddy requested underwear (oh, Adam… Calvin K. is disowning you…), as the gifting of what he asked for in July keeps going on… *sigh*

Luckily after that, and after Anne already did (see previous spaces in this blog and previous post) he managed to be his perfectly loveable self when he also shout out to little Penelope for her runaway introductory contest (little girl has the loveliest godfather ever 😉 and of course she DOES love him… secretely? lol… I’m sure she does love him openly ;)).

I still don’t know (I got mixed reports on that, and I guess they/he might have need rest, but you never know with hyperactive boy…) if after the gig they truly went to beautiful Chicago Club Cuvée, but if they did, they sure enjoyed a wonderful location ;).

That very day, on the Anne’s camp, I received from my friend Anne-Karin the Elle Sweden November 2010 number with her on the cover (gorgeous… girl has a wonderous face) and this you see aside is the picture I love the most in the inner spread.

Karim kindly read for me all the Swedish Interview and for sure we would love to check some of her New York Tips when we get back there in two weeks ;)).

I would DEFINITELY love it.

Just when the tour was wrapped, we got the assurance they would have come to Italy (I already wrote it in previous post): I’m sorry to not being able to get there, as you know (see above) but well… I can always listen to the radio, also because I generally listen a LOT to RDS Radio anyway 😉 !).

Their stops are Italy on 12, then Paris on 15 (did they save some weekend spread in Rome?? That’d be so sweet), Then there is that Kid BBC benefit you know about since my latest post (CHECK IT) and then on the 17th they are in Amsterdam.

One small voice tells me inside… why didn’t you move your lovely butts here over Europe a bit before?

But anyway better later than ever… ;).

But let’s go back to regularly timed updates.

On October 30th, Adam touched back to LA, all involved in basketball talk (lovely…) and actually allegedly Anne arrived home (his home) even before him?

I have probably got that wrong… and they touched down there just together ;)… even though I love to know they hold keys of one another’s places.

That’s very cute.

As cute was Anne’s plixi of herself on Adam’s house balcony with her hair *almost* done for the big party.

Gorgeous sunset over LA in the background… (hear me sighing out in awe thinkin of my/our house there… that kind of sight takes everyone’s breath away… especially when you’re in love and share it with your lover. TRUST).

Adam announced through Twitter which costume he was going for and when he said that he was going to be John McClane I thought 1st that he’s really fixed with Bruce Willis and 2nd that he might have been trimmed out his hair (but then the fact got under radar and I was pretty confident Anne would have discouraged it? who knows… ;)).

You actually see from the pictures he didn’t shave head and he was absolutely smoldering actually (is there a way he might be not? Exactly… there isn’t any), as the pics you see here makes you see.

Anne was going for the Hooters card instead… and girl was of course hot, and truly NOT in need of boosting up her boobs which are perfect as they are on her totally goddess shaped like body.

I would have guessed for her a different outfit for the party time but whatever girl choses fits her.

And she was lovely tweeting that picture you see (yep… THAT house. IS. THAT. Yeah.)

The party was under every notion applicable a total blast.

Everyone was just windblown by it and naturally: Adam this time magnified himself during his favorite holiday by renting the Hollywood Cemetery.

Everybody flocked there, and if I only could have… I would have sold soul to enter too (I would have know whom I had to address at for it 😉 no problem).

Halloween is really a top way to have a great night out, especially in Hollywood… where everything is twice as crazy and enormous and creative.

And decadent, too (which isn’t bad…).

Photographer Scott Nathan allowed us some privileged shots from the interior too (crazy & coooool!!!), and a lot of LA creative cream was in there to have a set up for good madness (when else is fair to get mad?).

Too bad Alex Greenwald did not show us his disguise ;)…

While Steph and Sam Farrar, how adorable, instead did (Vesper of course wasn’t along ;)…).

Dunno about Jeff Conrad’s costume, but yep it was just like the Phantom Planet + Maroon5 golden joint era all over again allegedly 😉

I loved a lot Seth MacFarlane’s costume as Hannibal Smith too 😉

But yeah… Adam as John McClane and JESSE as Nikola Tesla (awesome!!!) obviously were my fav pieces of disguises.

It seems that not a single one getting there could hold back excitement and the whole scenery and mood and vibe was just off the hook.

I could have collected literally hundreds of reports out of it… after a while I just stopped receiving them because I would have turned green by envy 😉

The party was well worthy every kind of praise and ravishing commentary, but I found a bit cruel that Anne had to fly immediately back to New York like… in the wee hours of THAT same morning.

Poor girl, I thought, never catches a break (and she’s made of steel, allegedly… too! Noah Passovoy wasn’t the only one shocked about her resistance there I’m sure!)…

I was wondering which kind of really important task she had to pursue to leave that way from there, after a bubbly chaos and so much fun (Adam slept over the entire after day… happy and destroyed… just saying ;))…

Adam could stay because the band NEXT duty after the tour was the AT&nT Windows Phone Launch in San Francisco on November 8th.

He did… of course, even though nothing turned out as he hoped for (well, technically Democrats won in California but it’s hard to take it as a win…).

Also, Jesse wrote a lovely blog about that… I advice you all to read it still (actually he wrote TWO, but the sense is that…).

Jesse and blogging are strictly related and guys’ got a wonderfully empathic brain… catch this one too (btw, I adore Orinoco Flow song too…)

But Anne had to be on the other coast… while Adam had HUGE problems to face in her absence (lol… ;))

Something that makes me awe she actually FLEW to LA anyway for Adam’s party (that was really a love choice indeed).

I always smile recalling last year when VSFS was broadcasted the guys were back in Switzerland recording and at a certain point in the Alps boredom Adam tweeted that he was finding solace (“Paradise” actually) watching the last year’s show (which wasn’t even that good).

For a modelizer of his genre, sure nothing can look as inviting as a Victoria’s Secret catwalk… but then and now are two very different “Adam”… and it’s one of the models about to walk that catwalk (show gets recorded TODAY and broadcasted on November 30th) who has changed him so much.

I find it awesome.

I wonder if he had imagined by then a year later he would have been with one of the winged ones 😉 (sure that plan sounded makeable enough at any time… ;)), not to mention the record holder for most consecutive apparition in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition ;).

Mostly I wonder if he had imagined this link would have turned him into an openly exposed overtender guy, who shouts out freely at his ladylove full of pride and joy for her achievement.

He’s always been that to me… but now he lets this shine along for everyone to see.

That’s very much a great change.

Immediately after Anne’s casting, and in race for winning “most miles flied over in shortest amount of time”, the two lovers left the respective coasts to toast themselves together in a private weekend time (awwww), in between at that point Adam’s duty in San Francisco with Windows and Anne’s Victoria Secret Fashion Show Runaway set for being recorded TODAY.

Anne got cheered by Adam’s assitant’s wife (Penelope’s mother) about the getaway and the working achievements and her answer to her was so sweet and full of familiar vibe I pictured immediately the 5 of them going on holiday all together… maybe soon a 6 trip? Okay okay… I know… I’m reading too much into stuff (it’s my soon-to-be-bride-mode ;)).

While Adam and Anne were flying (we discovered later they were flying to Miami, for a very bouncy type of weekend), we got served the news Maroon5 along Buddy Guy(WOW!!!) and Sara Bareilles will lighten up the Capitol Xmas Tree for the Presidential Stay.

Wow.

I wish I’d be in Washington December 9 for sure 😉

Gooooooood Wednesday everybody!

Yes, I know, I’m late and what you’re about to read is another HUGE post.

It comes at my late evening, after a sunny wonderful day, after a wonderful, perfect waking up at 4 am for what you’re imagining (yep, MY LAKERS!!!!)

What can I offer as explanation?

Well… I like to live 😉 and Fall sets all paces back to a careful and cozy slowness, especially when evening falls and give rooms to darkness shades, and all I ask is to share a hug (and then… lots of other stuff) with Karim.

I have so much to say and share, but of course, as that’s the first thing that has happened today (it was already MY wednesday, as you have gotten above ;), yes) let’s start with NBA roll and my beloved Lakers in their Ring Celebratory Night!

I was longing for the start of the new Quest For The Ring, and as you know from my daily posts in the Lakers Blog (which I regularly link from my Twitter), the first games won’t really see me worried.

I have been delighted by the entire Ring ceremony in fact.

The beautiful words our Knights spoke, their faces, their chemistry… the total feeling they REALLY are a team of committed people who genuinely enjoy being in the same team.

Kobe was so smiling, so happy the entire time (and he’s starting his year as 15th in the row with the Lakers, greatest franchise man ever), even when the game wasn’t seeming that smooth (but as the chat proved, I never worried a moment… ;))

And then the game showed so much how much we have again improved.

You read it all in my Today’s Blog Post that I will link from my Twitter after this update is posted, but I just wanna pinpoint it:

1st Ring has been the Vengeance;

2nd Ring has been the Rising up Above Adversities (injuries);

THIS INCOMING 3rd Ring (yes… it’s happening) will be a TEAM play, not because Kobe will let it be (he still THE BESTEST BEST) but because WE FINALLY HAVE A BENCH.

Today we’ve been rusty, imprecise… but even then, it’s clear we have so much more than anybody else.

Moment of pun intended: ahahahahha… collective moment of laugh at the obvious demise of The 3 PUPPETS Chokers of the Hyped Land, namely Miami Meat of total loser LeBronze: wiped off by the Celtics, who will always be better than them.

But sorry… we’re always gonna be better than Celtics, as well ;))

I was really really amused by the way lots of delusional hyped chokers tried to justify the obvious, namely the much expected loss of the Meat in front of a true basketball team (albeit hated sportly speaking by us).

What did you expect?

Anybody understanding basket would have taken the Celtics over the Meat.

Today I have ditched fitness for going to the hairdresser and I’m currently sporting extensions which are red on half of my head (and bangs) and blue-sky on the other half.

Well, in a great day after two great weeks, where Florence rocked our love and NBA started at its peak, of course something had to go wrong, just because philosophically it’s impossible to be always in a perfect state.

Much like LeBronze, except that LeBronze is actually very naturally skilled (I don’t deny that) while Taylor Swift sings like a dying cat.

Nothing substantial, beside a great way of selling fakery.

Right now in USA the only things that work are Autotune (yikes) fake teeny pop (barf) and Country Asses (ewww).

Oh well.

Let’s focus on the good.

I completely LOVE Adam with shaved head. His face is just perfect for it.

Next week I will see Prince live in Milan at least ;).

After that, we are planning to spend the week of thanxgiving in New York, joined by Karim’s family there.

We should arrive on the 24, celebrate on 25, and then stay there a coupla days till we get back on Sunday 28th.

We do that because I have to arrange another meeting with the new partners (Brian!!! Whooo!) and then we are on the roll to find a tiny apartment in the West Village OR Gramercy.

Man I can’t wait.

I LOVE Gramercy.

I love New York.

A two room house would be entirely perfect for Karim and I… we truly want it.

Another amazing thing out of November is of course that we end and leave Otto The Prick out of boards FOREVER.

Guys moved to Sacramento, where time ago somebody decided to enjoy the typical away night: and it’s that “vague” remembrance that tells you how much that could have been *fun* ;).

Karim is resigned to my physical reactions to anything he is, and by now I guess he’s still confirmed that doesn’t mean I don’t adore him.

Back to Sacramento, and to the actual gig, I always have fun acknowledging how their live sets can turn dubious people into believers.

Good thing there are some people who GET them.

Talkin about some of those people, well, actually very special ones, while guys were leaving Cali to cross State borders, Sweet Russian Fairy was finally coming back to New York after a long run all around the globe, to hug back Chovy (I was wondering exactly about him in my last post… telepathy?).

In that same day, the Final Drafts for the 2011 Grammy were revealed.

Check the Grammy Submissions HERE (honestly, I don’t see spaces for wins but a couple of nominations should/could reach out in fact) and in the end Mutt and the guys should truly get recognition for their amazing work.

The day before the catwalk, lovely Russian Fairy took a walk down her memory lane and shared pictures from her Prom Time year, and a couple from past modeling years more close to nowadays.

Overly cute and auto-ironic and always so reliable in talks, isn’t she?

While Anne was getting preppy for her show, Adam and the guys were reaching in Texas, and Adam took the chance to visit a music store and buy a guitar (that he later confessed to carry along since purchase, like obsessed with it).

Adam also did an interview for Virgin Radio Ca,which I hope will get released for us all to catch, and also provided a vocal rendition of Alicia’s If I Ain’t Got You that keeps impressing whomever isn’t deaf.

And we learnt that: ADAM hates the Yankees, – too bad because I LIKE them ;)… – and that Matt is a passionate and almost crazy Giants fan.

Well… everything got well, because Texas Rangers deafeat the Yankees while Maroon 5 were playing in Texas, advancing to the Big Final, and later also Giants came to the same point.

The fun facts were that both these events were linked to and talked about DURING gigs.

It’s a band of sport fanatics. Granted.

Back on Anne’s runaway and catwalks, we not only could appreciate pics of the event itself, not only got to listen to her overjoyed, and we could sneak in thanx to her at the afterparty, we also got to read that THESE days she is in Turks and Caicos, having more tasks to do.

Fairly enough, she has admitted hers is the kind of job that allows you such wonderful place stays you can’t really complain ;).

From Texas to Tennesse, babies were fastly approaching the final streams of the second leg of the tour, and too bad some very cool ideas couldn’t take place, mostly due to bad weather on their day off.

She seems certainly to have that same sweet touch Adam has with little kids; and in fact she’s rooting for Penelope, Gisella and Shawn’s daughter (whose godfather IS Adam actually) in her attempt to start modeling (awwww).

Btw, Anne as specified is now is in Turks and Caicos and someway watching that I feel like I’d like to jump with Karim on a plane and enjoy sun and water 😉

Wowza!

Get ready.

Sit back and comfortably because this post is gonna be the longest shit ever.

I’ve been away half a month, crossed a certain amount of impressive cities, and in the gap pretty much every mattering thing has happened and you bet I will update everything accordingly.

I have been offered even the world itself, folks: during an awesome flight on a private helicopter over San Francisco Bay, the man of my dreams (never thought I could have one… but as anybody else I of course do) said to me the most awesome things, before he offered me something truly impossible to not take into consideration…

So.

I’m officially engaged, for the whole world to see in an incredible party that was held at Karim’s parental place, with no less than… 380 guests(all of his part, since I carried along only… my parents ).

And hence: yep… this uniquely molded chick is gonna be a wife.

See? I CAN smile 😉 And I'm PLENTY of reason for that

I’m gonna marry in Japan (we still undecided if in Tokyo or Kyoto, but I am up for the latter… anyway we’re gonna spend the whole month in the Country of our dreams so whatever we’re gonna pick up for the big day, the other place will be checked deeply anyway ;)).

Date is August 6th 2011.

Oh, and yes… that’s my ring.

7 of the purest diamond carats (1,5 + 4 + 1,5), which means I carry on my finger what could pay a very beautiful house anywhere (not giving out details, but you can ask or figure out ;)).

Under every stone, encrusted in the platinum ring, there is a specific kanji (see? we truly love Japan), with the words “Truth” 真 (which also means “Pure”, “Genuine” and “Right”), then “Love” 愛 (under the main stone) and “Passion” 欲 because that’s how we roll.

Karim (just as me) really likes symbolisms and also we love to use numerology and fill our events with mathematical hints.

So we’ll marry exactly 3 years after we first met (yep… oh… the blessed day!!! And none of us … well… mostly ME 😉 would have ever believed THEN what would have blossomed from that first day ;)), we marry on a 6 day number, on a Saturday (6th day of the week) because my favorite number is six; (Karim’s 3: and he always says that I am “his double”… so in a way that fits also, lol…).

The carats are 7 because 7 is the number of perfect spirituality, and knowledge, not to mention the number that defines MAGIC.

I know I know… you think we are crazy: we just live following Pythagoras and Aristotle instead.

In fact, if we marry, it’s because we have not only found our perfect physical match; it’s not only because we both like art, and traveling, and foreign cultures… it’s because we share the inmost approaches to life, even though we are basically very different if you consider our shown personalities.

I am the flamboyant, chaotic, egomaniac one; he’s the stone I pour myself onto, the stability that is never immutable, but always rooted (it’s funny: in numerology meanings, everyone tells us that I definitely look as a “3”, and he totally has the “6” qualities… and those numbers are exactly those we reciprocally liked since we have memories of ourselves. I call it DESTINY and if it’s not, then it’s something that really much recalls it).

I’m the fire, and he’s the shuffling, free, immense air that feeds me, that tames me, that builds me.

I am the heat that makes the air gets higher, gets warmer, hotter, better.

No, I’m not delirious… these are actually verses of one of the many poems Karim writes for me on monthly basis.

I love the way his head and heart produce magic.

He’s able to make me shake with his brilliant mind and deep sensitivity way before his damn hot (oh… boy…) self manages to give me the greatest pleasures I’ve ever experienced (and in there, I’m like the Sorbonne… I DO know and can tell if someone is good in bed. I’ve tested SO many people there in my life, and to top that… takes LOTS of skill, both from Nature and from… crafted practice ;)).

It’s funny that one of Karim’s former flames (she properly hates me… can’t really blame her if she does, but I couldn’t care less about her or her life) thinks that I should be happy because with this marriage I join one of the finest families around.

Like I could give a shit about that.

I signed up prenuptial like it was just a sticker; Karim was so worried I would have taken it badly but I really don’t see why he should have worried, nor why I should have made a fuss out of it.

It’s absolutely normal, logical, and RIGHT for his family to prevent troubles.

Except that there won’t be any: we weren’t really forced to marry… we don’t plan to have babies soon… we could have waited.

I could have.

But he wanted to marry so badly, and was so craving for it, I was just like “Oh… after all I know we’re meant to be together forever… so let’s do it.”

My parents have been together for a life: and they still have sex (a sign of good marriage. No sex… no deep things to share : telling yourself differently is a pathetic lie).

Karim’s parents… the same.

I guess genetics AND surroundings are playing in favor of our odds anyway 😉

Be wild and be happy and be ourselves is what we’re looking into when we think about our marriage.

I don’t care about statuses, also because I am proud to be quite wealthy on my own ( and I mean beside my family range of wealth… boy, I have quite a good personal income for being a 25 years old, thanx ;)).

And I’m sure one of the reasons Karim loves me and not her stays exactly in this fact, that I am completely and fiercely independent and the last thing I take into count thinkin about him is his ridicolous bank account.

I’m not saying I don’t enjoy what comes with being his half.

Wow, while in San Francisco I had to experience in full the power he and his family can exercise: we cruised over their IMMENSE yacht; we went to Museums privately; we flew in helicopter over the bay like people take taxis; we wandered always around with security; we basically owned the town.

It’s all great.

But for how cool it may seem, trust me… you can forget about that just by holding his hand… letting him watch you directly in the eyes and make the whole world TRULY disappear.

We slept in his bedroom while in San Francisco.

It’s an enormous room (in a palace… because the word “house” or even “mansion” don’t really fit… even “manor” probably doesn’t…) filled with meaningful memories from his childhood.

It was awesome to sleep there and hearing him telling stories about his past days there; any time he would show me pics of his kiddie antics I would feel so warm and melting inside no word could possibly describe any of those feelings I felt.

I feel so blessed.

Truly.

I often say I don’t deserve that but I’m a fool: I do.

I see there is a meaning in everything: I was born to be with him.

And so I think I surely do deserve him.

Yes.

I’m this presumptuous.

And in all this, again… Karim is the only human being I’ve met that totally gets me as I am.

In full.

He’s also born to be with me: he understands me so incredibly well and deeply he can enjoy also the twisting sides of my mind and sensitivity and take a joyous part in those, feeling completely at ease.

This shows me how much we’re meant to spend our lives together, indeed.

Our time in Los Angeles after the awesomeness of San Francisco and the engagement celebrations has been like a traveling into Kids Land with the pure soul only kids have (we try to stay as pure); not only we witnessed magic at the Greek (two of the best nights of my whole life – somebody else really should get a clue about music writing instead – … and it was so near to our house, it was always pleasant also to reach the location… but you’ll learn about that in the second half of this post, because we weren’t the only ones finding it easy to reach Griffith Park 😉 and I don’t mean ONLY that we were surrounded by starlets or/and second-rate vampires… there were Leo and LL Cool J among the music lovers, and one of LL Cool J’s hair values more than the entirety of Ashley Greene…), but we enjoyed sun, beach, Universal Studios, not so healthy food, VERY healthy food, a great yoga session in one of the most famous gym facilities in Brentwood, and generally we had everything at our disposal.

Well, everything beside the Lakers, because the day I was in El Segundo I was there for a working meeting and I couldn’t escape for checking my beloved Purple and Gold Knights.

But I could follow at least the game in Barcelona (at Mash’s place… where we… er… had also a huge post game fun ;)).

Not that the pre-seasonal games of Lakers have been that much of a thing – still we got some awesome pictures from their European journeys at least! – , but at least we’re starting to win now that I’m no more in LA 😉

I just love… well, WE just love our Los Angeles house.

And although we truly want a place in New York too, we feel always the best when Cali’s sun caresses us.

While there we found also a couple of historical pictures of Adam, that you are actually already seeing (my favorite series, from his Halloween 2007 party… as THIS Halloween approaches, somehow I hope he decides to (un)dress again for the recurrence…) and a video that I have been craving to find for ages:

Talkin about Halloween (oh, how I love Adam in that shot of 2007 party at his house…) this year we won’t be in USA for the celebration BUT while we were in Cali we managed to order our Halloween costumes.

I will wear a double disguise, and angel/devil idea, because I will dress myself as “Human Conscience”.

Karim instead will dress as “Tao”, getting as well a double disguise.

Anyway, back momentarily to the concerts, it has been awesome to be there two days in row.

It’s always flattering to the ears and to the heart to catch Maroon 5 but I particularly loved the “homey” atmosphere at the Greek.

Not only for the obvious “Hollywood pluses”, or for the Jason Segel introductory cameo (awesome); it wasn’t just because they REALLY did shine in both concerts (you find lots of videos about the performances online but none of those noisy moments can give you a hint or capture the magic that was spread for real. My advice is always that: GO AT THEIR GIGS. It’s the only way to fully get them. And btw, One Republic are good too ;)… Ry Cuming… not bad even though I caught him always partially ;)): the Greek gigs were special because the music spoke to both Karim and I so loudly.

In a way Maroon 5 are the way we met in 2008.

Albeit from almost opposite points of view (I was determined to get some, and he was forced to follow me while his contacts worked my ways out ;)…).

But their music somehow always brought us closer; we both find it extremely suiting us and our sexual approaches to life, love and spirituality: in fact, their music at once softened my wilderness and at the same time, that same music brought off Karim’s wilderness that he was trying to tame, waiting – he claimed back then – to find “the one”.

There’s a reason for which now not only Stutter, but also the awesome Al Green Cover of Let’s Stay Together and If I Ain’t Got You they perform live will be ALL our marriage songs.

Adult Contemporary Much? Well, after all Maroon 5 just have set up a new record for the format, as Billboard let us know, with their release of Misery.

Karim’s parents and my own ones were actually also very much delighted by the gig they witnessed (the second); while Marghe as per usual used all of her voice to scream like a squirrel all the time (she witnessed also the Santa Barbara gig btw)… but that’s her way to manifest adoration and I’m used to it, so it was like… due 😉

It was a magic series of shivers, precious feelings of emotional rush, going round and round my body and soul.

I always and particularly loved the acoustic sets: Adam’s voice and skill as singer shine so much when he strips down (he actually loved to strip down also out of metaphors but that’s another matter entirely… ;)).

And from the way Karim was behind me squeezing me all the time, while the songs were performed, I was clearly understanding the feeling was not only mine, but it was a couple enjoyment of a very special collective moment.

I’m so glad we can share this too.

This Love won’t ever take any toll on us 🙂

We have loved our LA stay, and also our brief touchdown in New York (Karim’s determined, bless him, to find a small apartment for us either in the West Village or in the Gramercy area we’re so fond of).

Work has been profitable in both cities too and today as soon as I stepped off from the plane, I rushed to lab to detail to everyone what we’ve achieved as business partnership along with our new USA buddies.

The cutest part of today has though been re-meet my Swifty.

As much as I LOVED stay in USA, and as much as I long to get back there soon, truth is I always dearly miss my horse when I am forced to be parted from him this long.

And the feeling is reciprocal and wonderful…

I’m glad we’re back home.

I’m glad Karim is sculpting as I write this blog update and he smiles at me as I smile typing.

We don’t even really need to speak to communicate: it’s a fantastic way the way our minds, bodies, and hearts find a way to share themselves out and beyond normal streams of interaction.

I will do my best to never let this bliss fade out.

I will work with passion and commitment and love to never let this magic between us fade out: indifference must never get a place in our lives and in our life together and that is something you gotta WORK to achieve.

It needs forces, will, resources.

It takes… passion to keep passion lively.

And we’re so perfect together because we both have that type of flame in us.

We have seen so much of the world and got to know so many people; so many types of lives; we’re curious about all that, and we’ve piled on a lot of valuable and deep experiences in our lives.

Humanly, first.

That richness will definitely help us along in keeping being dedicated to one another in the best way.

I don’t feel trapped in this I’m living: I’ve never felt freer in my whole life actually.

And Karim… well, he daily (even hourly) totally lets me know (and more importantly… FEEL) that he’s the happiest man because I’m his.

And believe me there are NOT his most expensive gifts or surprises he constantly amazes me with that make me feel that HE IS MY OWN ONE.

No.

It’s the way his eyes read directly into my own soul, and remain pure and clear magnifying the fact his heart loves mine… as I am exactly.

That is the greatest gift my life could have gifted me with.

Karim… you are everything I was searching for even when I had no idea I was into any type of quest at all.

You know I find her astonishingly beautiful and therefore is just normal I go awing when she updates us with her professional tidbits.

Well, while in Paris, being the France Capital one of the most awesome places in the whole world, Russian Fairy had of course a blast, both on the working tasks and certainly when those left spaces for the fashionably events that only Paris can structure so well.

Too bad sometimes the two things seemed to conflict a bit, but never till the point she couldn’t enjoy it all, or had to give up to something.

But let’s get back to the moment after all the commitment for the album release ended, and the moment approached when Maroon5 would actually be on the road to play it live.

In a moment of open-ness (and somehow that makes even more sense if you, like I do, have happened to possess the Deluxe Package of Hands All Over (see later), which include the awesome documentary DVD “Vevey Forever”), Adam shared this:

You might wonder how I claim that I owned the Special Deluxe package even from my days in California this start of October, since it was bound to arrive in Italy.

So the guys were having a couple of fun days before the actual second leg of the tour started, meaning that they actually headed to Vegas, among the rest.

Beside funny shots, questionable food choices, and cute shout-outs, they surely had the time to appreciate what life has gifted them with all along.

Another thing that never could change is Adam’s immense love for his hometown: anytime he gets spare time in Los Angeles, he serenades it and I find it very, very cute.

The main object of his serenades in the main time was obliged to Viktor and Rolf, keep strutting her total awesomeness on catwalking paves (not really feeling the no eyebrow look myself, but she would be shining even walking daily like that on regular days… honestly, she’s sublime).

So stoked with her and so stoked with them… but let’s go on… Where we were at? Oh, yeah… Anne’s adorable half then decided to go cryptic while addressing mysterious rendez-vous (which could have been anything from a pool party, a random gathering of circus people, to a Halo marathon till a Scrabble Fight…), and maybe like me you sometimes find yourself laughing thinking how she’s flawlessly glam and how he loves to be totally on the simple and low when it’s about dressing (even though he can surely turn out and fit the glam as well, as much as she shines in the most regular of jeans and t-shirt too…).

But yep… I like Anne best when she shines in glamour.

I can’t lie: I like ’em all preppy.

Or at least I like them knowing they CAN look perfect and stunning while prepping up.

(gotta say that I find really amusing and entertaining the way Adam and his friends tweet these kind of stuff for us to see… you get it’s a very genuine friendly circle the one we get to briefly acknowledge from those, and being myself really keen at my own crew, I find solace in imagining my favorite singer surrounded by a similarly wonderful type of soul environment.)

So, on October the 2nd Adam and the crew were at Las Vegas, at their beloved Palms hanging out around and allegedly catching a glimpse of alternative festival “Matador 21” too (Belle and Sebastian!!!! whooo!!!).

I really really feel the vibe of that place (still bummed I missed it LAST NYE… mostly because this year Maroon 5 will perform in Atlantic City but we don’t plan an East Coast New Year, so I will forcedly miss it this round and I will keep regretting how I had to blow up my last year’s chances at Vegas gig…) and I know how entertaining it can be spend a day there.

Especially with such a crew ;)…

Back into Vegas chapter, (that was a very quick stay btw… a blitz into adult wonderland!), Adam seemed to again struggle against the fact many of his friends are golf lovers, and he just cannot cope with it (Adam, I get you, I’m crap at it too, but you could find pleasure in the surroundings of the courses… I love that at least… my two cents ;)!).

In that same day, Anne was feeling homesick.

So cute she can be (I also have a Starbucks addiction… I so get her there! Anyway consider she hasn’t yet retouched New York. She’s away from there since after she flew to Paris to re meet Adam one month ago. I wonder who’s Chovy with, considering she went from Paris Fashion Week directly to Los Angeles last week, and then flew away again to London three days ago???), you really feel her if you let yourself free about it.

And well… when your girlfriend expresses that kind of low mood, and you are exactly on the other side of the world… what can you do to cheer her up (because you clearly cannot take to figure her out even the slightest unhappy)?

Simple: the morning after you fill up her hotel room with DOZENS of red roses, claro… ;):

Like… *awwwwwwwwww* on the repeating for hours (when I caught it hours after I almost shed a tear… so cute ;)).

How romantic… then you know my name means rose and Karim often gifts me roses so I know even too well the effect it has to receive those, especially when you REALLY need it.

His voice is so soothing it’s unreal (and in a way I gotta thank above that Adam never grew in height as much as he would have loved to in order to pursue his basketball passion… imagine… if he did, I would have lost forever the chance to be embraced by his unique voice!!! And I mean… there can be ONLY one Kobe every three generations 😉 so…).

I guess I produce dopamine naturally as I hear his frequency of speaking reaching my ears.

As days of getting back on the road came nearer, and as Adam had to keep up balancing his life with the timetables on the other side of the world (so sweet) we came to learn this:

I so long for the moment when he will finally allow himself to write a pure happy soothing ballad about everlasting love.

The mood now is there: just milk it from your soul and pour it into verses Adam… and sure they might be the best lyrics you had ever come up with dear.

Love has that quality, you know… 🙂 (took a lot for me too to understand it actually… maybe that’s why I so hope everyone else does now? whatever… I wish you everlasting love Mr. Levine, and to myself to be able to hear that kind of feeling transfixed by your voice in a wonderful new song soon…) :).

On October 6, day of stepping back into touring life ahead, James celebrated his 32nd birthday, too, while Jesse experienced as me the great quality of The Social Network (we went out to see that in San Francisco and it was TERRIFIC!!!! Amazing movie!!!! Justin Timberlake *almost* seems a credible actor there, although compared to Jesse Eisenberg he disappears… ;))

Anne was then engaged into her latest shows in Paris.

And man… what is best than closing it with Jean-Paul Gaultier and Hermés???

If general taste wouldn’t be so poised I would be sure it’d enjoy major success… unfortunately, you know… current favs on chart are complete garbage so it’s no mistery it’s getting an hard time being reckoned.

(Small insert: we hope next week global world taste gets restored by tributing honor to Kings Of Leon… the album comes off TOMORROW in Italy and I’m sure it’s awesome!!!)

But let’s get back to Santa Barbara (Marghe said it was fantastic, and Jesse agreed ;)), night of wind, great music, some strip tease and guitar solos 😉

Anne though missed it: she arrived back in Cali as they were coming as well onto home soil.

So yes… LOVERS REUNITED.

And like it MUST happen, it takes enough to be with your own one love to feel like all the rest simply is “far away” and distant… even though it might be so wonderful in itself.

That’s love for sure… it’s the intimacy of it, that makes even the most beautiful “rest” feeling not that mattering after all.

I mean… Adam ditched even buddies birthdays in honor of her 😉 (well.. so I assume 😉 he must ;))

We were so near to them, but not my thing to stalk so we never really try to cross the cute couple, although we were really hanging out at the same roads in the same hours.

I just love to know they’re happy and together… what they surely don’t look forward to are strangers getting in their ways to cheer them up while they’re having private moments.

I really, really just long and root for their beautiful selves (inner and outer and all around and inside) to stay as close as possible: that’s it.

They are inspirational (and she’s as funny and down to earth as he is, which is a plus in a plus!).

Truly.

So what did they do?

They took a double massage… and it’s INCREDIBLY cute because Karim and I just did the VERY same at SPA in outside Los Angeles a bunch of hours before them.

Adam and Anne love to take double massages together anyway because they used to do that also back in August in New York at Setai Wall Street SPA😉

They gotta take care of their hot bodies… so that those can possibly create more and incoming beauty (okay… I know… that idea is struck in my mind… what can I do? I’d love for them to procreate… *yes I do*) .

They also went out shopping and enjoyed their usual passions at once for the best food, the best sweets and also, sometimes, the unescapable junk food (unhealthy for both, but what can you do… sometimes you have to give up and feel free and kiddie, right?).

People getting starstruck at them doesn’t sound strange to me… In fact, beauty gotta be reckoned, cherished, celebrated.

So… being starstruck at any of them two is just natural and fair ;).

Sometimes though being starstruck at them causes troubles… like when an interviewer completely writes down the interview messing the answers with the questions up 😉

The day after, you know, there was the first show at Greek theathre.

You know from above what Karim and I did feel about it (about them)… here I will just let you collect a couple of notes from reviewers and concert goers beside us…

My advice still THAT one: you just have to go and check yourself.

Because they really will tangle your soul up and let it shine (just an advice… sing ;)… even though if you think like my friend Marghe you retain for it for not ruining the beauty of Adam’s sounding caresses ;)).

The party after the first home gig took place at Adam’s house (of course) and as per usual it was just a great blast.

The fact he could have two consecutive nights show at home was probably really dear to Adam’s heart… and he sure delivered loads of magic, along the whole band (and PJ Morton: honestly guys… that man is a GREAT adding to the sound of the live shows… PJ Morton is AWESOME. Full stop. What he brought on the plate while they were doing Tina’s cover of What’s Love’s Got To Do With It was soooo dope!)

They left immediately after to head to the Greek Theather in BERKELEY, and of course Anne was along them.

Adam was particularly keen at sharing pieces of his life in that surrounding, because, yep… Berkeley is actually the reason he’s… alive for? 😉

I really loved to see that toasting picture after the gig, knowing he wasn’t alone watching the emptied theater, because you know…

Memories of where he was conceived…

Maybe could bring up wishes of… conceive? (okay, I know… I can’t stop rolling around with that idea… I need yoga. No better… I need to mind my own business, I know 😉 *sigh*… but he’d be such an awesome, marvelous dad!!!).

After Berkeley they moved to Tacoma (Seattle), meaning that Anne got back on the big bus, just because that way she could have enjoyed the spare day along her love (awww… and was Patsy there too along?).

Maybe it’s me, but again as they tweeted about their… erm… dangerous food weaknesses, I had to realize (see my plixies) that just that very day, hours before, while Karim and I were hanging and having a blast at Universal Studios, I actually lunched with… GUMMY Bears myself too 😉

See? Once more… Great Minds (or Great Tummies – I said Tummies, NOT Dummies… we’re not talking about Dikkie here ;))… and you know the rest 😉

I smile tenderly thinkin at Adam and Anne trying not to empty their room’s minibar out of all the snacks… he shouldn’t eat them cos they damage voice, and she shouldn’t because they damage slimness… but I see them breaking the rule and I love them for that.

I really do ;).

Milan!!! ;)), I noticed they would have stopped just right before Adam’s birthday and I was telling : “see, this way he can celebrate his birthday with Anne back in USA, just like this year.”.

NIET.

Because it looks like they will celebrate their birthdays together again, but in HER place instead, this time around.

The gig in Moscow is on March 20, 2011: his birthday is March 18th, her birthday is March 19th.

Too easy. Too easy… (if you hear a strange sound, is my inner parts that melt 😉 awwww).

Comforted in the fact he shouldn’t really give a rat ass about twitter shout outs and the way they will be taken (I’m sure he doesn’t anyway), Adam could move from Seattle to next stop fulfilling the long trip with his fav toy (I mean REAL toy… 😉 in which he needs practice, as we know…), so that by the time he reached Fresno all of his stamina was downloaded 😉

Dunno much about Fresno… but I guess they need grammar lessons? 😉 Certainly they allowed Adam two of his greatest passions: bike riding and… junk food enjoyment 😉

So, okay… I told you I wouldn’t have uploaded the blog again until I were back from Cali on October 13th but as we leave tomorrow, and I got too much of valuable material to share with you (that will be good to cover the gap of two weeks) I thought about coming here and create a new post altogether.

Karim is also wondering if I will actually relate that it’s me and HIM getting engaged, since during the celebration he will be referred to as in his first name, that nobody ever uses (I never really did once…).

These days with Karim’s family over here have been cute and cozy: I’m glad they get along with my family, and I love the way they all speak in Italian while being here.

To be honest I keep enjoying my mum’s efforts to be okay as much with her English when they’re around (she quite fails there… she’s very basic, but she knows French perfectly and has an excellent Spanish on her behalf so ehi… they can find a language to speak in anyway, since ALSO Karim’s parents of course know 7 and + idioms…).

But enough about me.

I know you love me but gotta drawn away the attention (sense: irony ;)).

Let’s make this post and fill it up, since it’s the reason I’ve actually come again online for.

There will be a certain number of videos, all SOOO sweet, but I gotta start with my take at Give A Little More (the usual captions, then the explanations… and I know in the end there is a cut but it was DELIBERATELY to make copying discouraged; and I have also edited and flipped the video reducing quality just because that has ONLY to be an advice to BUY the real thing on itunes, okay? SO DO IT, thanx!).

You will probably expect some commentary about the “Chart Race Battle” that babies as expected and previewed LOST in favour of one of the tackiest fake Country acts around, the Zac Brown Band (I love how Adam hinted at my same point, calling them Dave Matthews Band… except that this fat combo fit only for truck drivers – conceptually refined, right? – WISH they’d be a tenth as good, since they are totally NOT…).

What really appalles me (but that ALSO was expected, given the total ignorance of the majority of so called “music experts” around) is that they are depicting the loss as a HUGE loss (erm… that was such an intense and CLOSE race that Billboard had to recount multiple times the scanning, so much that the chart was given a day LATER than usual… I call this a very CLOSE call, not an “outsell”… oh, boy… who writes about music nowadays? A monkey? *ewww*), while it was indeed a really risible victory by Zac Brown Ass Band.

Somebody for instance should explain to some unsufferable individual (celebrity blogger Perez Hilton) that “FAIL” is not really a word to use.

Perez pokes at the babies, but as you can read here from music biz HQ, Zac Brown Band was FROM THE START the one with the hugest expected first week selling numbers (250000, while Maroon 5 were called in for 210000).

Since THOSE were the numbers, I see that ending at 153000 for the tacky cavemen Brown, and 141000 for babies is actually a BIGGER FAILURE for the Fatty Brown Band (especially considering the buzz about them, and the fact that sadly Country is the only selleable thing these days)?

Exactly.

Then I wonder why Perez Hilton never hinted at the fact that the most boosted act this year so far (Katy Perry) was predicted to sell 400000 and plus copies of that awful record she has out in her first week, and managed to sell instead less than 190000 (and she’s already out of top ten, which is a huge letdown considering the promotion she’s been subjected to).

THAT of your fake buddy tittay Katy is an actual selling failure, after for months her people pumped her – totally uninventive – work a sure shot at ALBUM and not single selling (not that I expect somebody as distasteful as Perez to understand such a point, of course)?

And again: Perez praised Linkin Park, which are experiencing the SAME percentage decrease in selling number as Maroon 5 (a third sold compared to three years ago) but then he congratulated them?

I call this blind bias, but ehi… not that I expect a smart reasoning from Perez, or any of the many “experts” who cannot read a report involving datas without probably fainting for the pressure.

Fact is, I can read and give sense to the whole thing and OKAY, it burns, but it was easy to see it coming – and moreover it has NOTHING to do with the record in itself, which is wonderful and precious.

Oh yes… Hands All Over is a fantastic record.

Anyway, allegedly Adam is fairer and kinder with ass Perez than me, because he agreed to a call out for something that actually is very valuable (a way to prevent gay suicide among youth).

Not that any of us is surprised there: Adam’s got a shining soul, so much he can forget how horrible Perez is, as long as he promotes something truly valuable.

Still… Perez is one of the reason music taste is decreasing so bad.

Not to mention the fact he’s one of the lamest people living this planet.

Good day everybody!

Waiting for Karim’s parents to reach us from Malpensa (yep, they will stay here a couple of days… well, not HERE in our loft all time, cos I’d freak out, but here in Milan, yep), and after a very intense working day (where I have finally managed to get back to do some pilates though, so it’s all good ;)) I am trying to fill these pages also because in 4 days we leave and I won’t update blogs till October 13.

We have also decided that Stutter is gonna be our marriage song 😉 yep. Karim sings it too me each day and it just fits our style of lovers. 😉

Think that this same update is likely to be written in pieces so I am starting it now that’s Monday, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I’d extend it on Tuesday and maybe even Wednesday (so check the very likely “UPDATE Shoutouts”).

What can I do… I’m busy.

Plus there are so many things on the horizon for me it’s a miracle in the first place if I update blogs at all.

It’s just that I have a couple of words to say, especially musically, so this is going to be kinda LONG post and a bit of a rant too (not really a rant, camon… but probably a very long informative post too).

Before stepping in the music week (some would call it maybe on some aspect a “Mourning Week” but I won’t because to me what’s gonna happen has reasons that have NOTHING to do with artistry, so I’m fine with the outputs, although maybe I can have a regret or two. But that NEVER on the artistic side. You will understand me later… ;)), I have to pinpoint that YEP… in four days we leave towards California where Karim and I will get formally engaged.

I plan a small change in my online backgrounds just to make you get a glimpse of us together, but in a safe image that cannot be and won’t be spoiled or misused cos we’re not full frontal. Plus for Up’s Sake Karim’s hair are growing back (yeah… you know from my twitter this Summer he went all skin cut because he was feeling the heat. That is actually one of the reason he loves to live in Italy for: he has no family or status commitments of no type – or at least he has very few only – and in fact when I was like “Whoooo!!! Security for us? COOL!!!” he was just “Trust me, it ain’t a good thing… especially when you live like that since the start of your life…”.

I always tend to forget Karim’s background.

I shouldn’t but for me he’s… just this awesome man full of heart and talent and brain and sensitivity and for real all the rest disappears and for me… security shit really feels more like… a way to protect such a wonderfulness from scary people.

But yeah.. I get it can be demanding for the self to be surrounded by such things since the whole of your life.

That’s why we will live in Italy, right? 😉 (for the foreseable future at least ;)).

At the moment that I am writing NOW, with not big surprise by my side (you know from all my previous posts how I was finding IDIOTIC the type of promotional duties and timetables the guys chose to commit to in Summer for Hands All Over…) all charts are basically kickin in the guts Sweet Babies latest effort (which doesn’t mean, see my previous post with the review, this ain’t their best effort in full fact), because okay that they are entering all charts in the top ten, but that is a serious step back compared from the release of If Won’t Be Soon Before Long.

The chart of USA, which will anyway show a MAJOR decrease in selling numbers (but again, EVERY artist has experienced a decrease to 1/3 of what they were formally able to sell compared to three years ago, see Linkin Park, for instance.. that’s the state of Industry right now…) at the moment I am writing – MONDAY – is a battle with Zac Brown Band (an ass half-pop half-country band which STOLE already the Grammy of Best New Artist from MGMT last edition, and which like all Country acts benefits from the fact the Country fans still buy records and don’t rely on Torrent/eMule/Stealing music), which the Country act could easily win I believe, just because of a series of elements.

Which I am about to detail (and which have been enlightened also before in parts over these pages).

Think that while you read all this two things have to stay clear in your mind:

HANDS ALL OVER IS A PERFECT ALBUM and MY FAVOURITE of Maroon5.

I CANNOT CARE LESS OF CHARTS, especially in days like this where shit generally rules anyway.

All that being said, let me detail my view about the “demise”… Factors that troubled this whole release were:

1 – As I wrote before: Country acts are still BOUGHT by their not tech savvy fans. In this, Country right now is the hugest and more marketable products in USA.

On the opposite side of the mountain, Maroon 5 fans are of the category that has no trouble downloading their songs illegally, being the usual melting pot of pop, urban, mainstream listeners (I give to their more rockish and r’n’b fanbase, which still part of their audience, a more driven will of going out and actually BUY their stuff still… but we all know from the datas of the sharing sites that Hands All Over has been majorly listened and downloaded way before its release… see again my previous posts disgust about this all).

Then this Zac Brown Band record is the second of an hyped band (they got the nuber feature in Billboard on the week of release of the record actually, which tells you some doesn’t it?), and we all know how much that works well, because in 2007 Maroon5 were media darlings as well.

Advantage ZBB, regardlessly of the quality of offering. That is watered down country at best, but ehi, I don’t like Country in first place myself, not even if Maroon 5 perform it actually… And moreover really, Zac Brown Band is a very watered down pop country crossover, nothing as great as Dave Matthews for instance, more of a bastardized version of that.

Again on the opposite side, the press about Maroon 5 and the general consensus has been moderately cold. A part of the spectrum has reckoned that this is actually their most complete record and easily their best, while the majority has expressed doubts about this all given the fact to ditch the sound so marketable and uniquely theirs of Songs About Jane, after all the world was asking them to put it back, would have been not well taken by the wide majority of their fanbase (which someway has happened, but this is because that fanbase cannot accept a growth artistically of the band. And there, sorry, I don’t follow the “common fanbase” at all.).

And let’s face… hype of the market is NEEDED in these times of downhill music sales (phenomenon which will keep going on and on till all we are gonna have will be huge debuts, and then quick disappear of lots of “new acts”, unless they won’t follow religiously all steps of planning heads at their record HQs…).

2 – A complete WRONG pick up of the singles to come up with by the babies (a thing that I will honestly NEVER understand, and probably they underestimated too… Okay that you may feel out of touch with contemporary taste, but… THIS much? I have no idea how such a mistake could be made…).

Without a great driving first single, you just cut off any chance of your album to be a best seller, and this especially if you’re an established act, because you instantly gather the feeling from “environment” that you might just not be in tune with common sense anymore (which is awesome if you are the alternative hipster, and way less marvelous if you are meant to be super mainstream).

You know I was skeptical about the tone of lyrics off Misery for being the first single (see all my previous posts about this topic), even though I loved the happy musical dress of the song, which I was thinking was suitable for the Summer. But by the time I was guessing all that, I didn’t know that in the record there was a song like STUTTER.

For Christ’s sake… what were they on to to NOT picking that up as first single?????

That song was perfect for Summer: groovy, unescapable, boosty, HAPPY (yep, an happy song, that is what people want to hear in Summer and especially if it’s a comeback single…ARGH!!), very power pop, totally Maroon5 and sexy at the right level…

The video would have been SO awesome too (imagine Adam and Anne in that song… camon it would have been AWESOME!!!!), and overhall Stutter would have been IN SUMMER a fantastic hit pretty much all over the world.

Guaranteed.

Give A Little More would have been a good single choice as for number two, even though for me I Can’T Lie is far superior and moreover it would have showed that kind of retro’ sound, mourning but still happy in its sonic perception, that Maroon 5 fans off the first time LOVE.

Yes, because where is clear that the sound has shifted from Songs About Jane (I see it as an evolution, but we know legions of fans are actually let down by the fact they forgot R’n’B because that was in their eyes the uniqueness of Maroon 5 – to me it’s only partially true, but I can understand that point – ), truth is that I Can’T Lie would have content a lot exactly those kind of SAJ fans.

3 – The detachment from the moment they started to surface back with the singles and the time the album was released.

Hewl… way too long gap. Way too long. They had MONTHS to start to create a campaign for this all, and dunno why, they decided to take it so easy they were basically living under the radar.

It’s a choice, sure, they are entitled to it, but this was bound to take a HUGE toll.

4 – The complete let down of the rest of the world as for promotional duties during the pre-release time.

Okay this is something I have expressed concern, regret and disappointment all over and I’m not surprised at all of the outputs it has brought.

I hope they aren’t either because I cannot see how they could expect anything different than from what’s happening in the world-round charts.

You can think it’s not important as long as America works but that is so untrue: in a world so connected, the buzz in the REST of the world shows up is actually a boost and a comfort ALSO for your main market.

And unsurprisingly, the opposite effect drives your main market too (which is happening).

Relevance is a strong formula but gotta be worked over; now don’t get me wrong: to me charting relevance especially nowadays with all the marketing tricks and the general awful taste means a very little, so in myself I don’t really complain about anything because Hands All Over is a magnificent album: but I do believe if they’d just operated differently in launching it and takin more time to also explain what was about that record that they felt worthy and mattering this showdown in charts wouldn’t have been of this register.

As simple as that.

5 – The overall wrong assumption (this time actually by the fans) that Maroon 5 are easily marketable and easily “mainstream”.

You know from my previous posts I love them exactly because of their richness in sound, so variate and so different, so for me that is actually NOT a minus. Their richness and versatility, which they have made SHINE in this record, is actually their best feature, and the reason they should gain praise for (like in the All Music Guide Review).

This is the measure of their artistic merit and the reason I personally couldn’t care less about their charting power (I never did).

But this is also what makes them have such an hard time making people rate them as greatly as they should been rated.

A rich, variate, educate taste such as the one a music of Maroon 5 deserved, is RARE.

It takes way more than your average pop listener to appreciate that, even though in the end they make “pop”, but “pop” in the Beatles way: EDUCATED pop that merges together all influences in something sonically pleasing and allegedly “natural” to the ear.

Heck, their VERSES are more melodic and hooking up than the wide majority of other musicians’s CHORUSES!!!

But sure, this ain’t easy to make people acknowledge because they are and will be forever overlooked (unless they don’t go back to a full R’nB sound, which would make the world go in awe for, but which would simply NOT be them artistically… It’d be JUST a PART of them and they don’t want to get back there. And I respect that. A lot.

6 – The lack of sexiness displayed openly in the lyrics this time.

This is one of the tackiest and most stupid critic I’ve heard about this record.

I have addressed it in my previous post because I was sure others would have, and I stand by that: these lyrics are actually BETTER, more crafted, more real and more deep than those Adam used to write before.

They are more manly in the sense you can perceive it’s a man writing them and not a kid; and he SINGS them with way more passionate soul than ever before actually.

But again, in this quite shallow way to hear supposed “pop” music (it’s that a disease?), if you are not explicitly quoting sex you’re not sexy enough (NO WAY… , and a way to sing can be way sexier than the most open lyric, which anyway Adam gave room for anyone else to feel comfortable with, so I don’t see why if he felt these songs weren’t meant to express that, he should have got back to an old trick just because everybody expects that from him all the time…).

So okay… whatever happens tomorrow I’m fine with, and I so wish they’d be too, avoiding idiocities like declaring (I actually doubt they did THIS way) to that they’re gonna stop singing about models (this can’t be a sentence out from Adam… he has probably said in their next VIDEOS there will be less face to face action – too bad if any… – ), but I can’t really see why he should stop writing about love and love in his life.

Maroon 5 ain’t gonna be political writers as Muse.

They cannot be some philosophers à la Radiohead, nor nerdy weirdos (in the best possible way) à la Vampire Weekend.

They sing about love and ehi, there’s freaking NO problem with that.

Beatles, Police, Stevie and tons other sung ALWAYS about that.

Stop thinkin there’s a mistake there because those telling you guys there is are probably into metal and they’re not exactly the type of people who’s gonna give a shit about you anyway.

I guess by Tuesday 28th September she should be moving to Paris for its Fashion Week, bust so far she’s just shone in Naples last week and then after that London Fashion Week series of duties she went back to Italy for OUR Fashion Week (btw, talkin back about Naples times… boy, watching Adam and Anne together in person is a bliss).

They so totally totally shine… I would have never bothered any of them in the hotel, but watching them is like watching Peynet. Their babies could be so beautiful… I know I’m fixed with that sentence but maybe it’s my state of future bride, I don’t know… they just inspired me so well it’s unreal ;).

Talkin about that, and the fact public display by public people can be commented over ANYWHERE, one of Psycho’s frankly freaky friends (oh, btw… Psycho WROTE me emails again… I even answered, in a fluke of humanism… BAD IDEA. I guess she’s still compulsive, but if she really wants to take my advices and move on, I’m sincerly wishing her to find a safe place and a safe pace to cope with her obsessions. I truly wish her to recover… just I don’t wanna her to write me ever anymore, anyhow though thanx…) had the brilliant idea to question me about THIS the other day:

BeatWeek Magazine Interview on Hands All Over

See, if I were obsessed like you all crazies, last week in Naples I would have followed Adam and Anne and bothered them, I would have taken tons of pictures of them from my privileged position and hotel stay and then I would have shared them all over the web.

BUT I DID NOT BECAUSE MY LAST WILL IS TO CRASH THEIR REAL AND PRIVATE LIVES or to display things they would never wish to display (learn something here, please).

I just enjoyed their sight together when it was displayed publicly in the place they were at. And kept the memory of the beauty they share around, without attempting any paparazzi-like move (I despise that attitude, also in the fans, deeply).

All that they don’t share for first, or that other news sources with status of media sources don’t claim about them doesn’t belong to web or to any other beside themselves well, and it WON’T EVER BE SHARED HERE… because it’s THEIR PRIVATE LIFE and I do respect it so totally, totally much (I do. You don’t crazies, because you keepon talkin HOURS online about them don’t you?).

And talkin about awesomeness, I would SO LOVE Adam and Ne-Yo to collaborate as soon as possible!!)

I so love when they are reciprocally cute with one another…

You know how I tend to consider the material they cover like a phase of Adam’s life so I am delighted about Let’s Stay Together choice.

I find it really beautiful, tender, romantic and the way he sings it truly makes you get how he FEELS the lyrics. :).

The special show at Hard Rock Cafe has therefore another try there (though the Stern’s one is superior. Man there they were so flawless they impressed a very unexpected portion of the audience, which is a great thing).

Before the close up of the post, please, let me have a moment of Country Pride as well (Country in the sense of ITALY, right?) because as I told you Anne has enjoyed firstly my Milan, took the advices I gave for her during eating times there (hopefully those about shopping too) and loved the style of our offerings.

Ended her working commitments there, but not her Italian time, she moved in Karim and I FAVOURITE TOWN, namely FLORENCE!!!

All degrees of awesomeness, really, because she just considers Florence the same Karim and I do 😉 (and we all have traveled the world, so it means something doesn’t it?) 😉

As per usual Anne is just adorable and friendly, and I always end astounded at the way she genuinely endorses and love our food (a model who eats… it’s wonderful and refreshing ;)), so take these because… because I like it (and her):

I just hope my babies are fine and well with themselves because truth is they are progressing artistically and they have nothing to regret on the artistic side.

Then I hope they will never change A BIT humanly… they are so true and unique…especially that little hyperactive cute punk who wakes up and start to tweet improbable things just as I suppose he wakes up and start to talk with his brain that always rushes in no peace (and that’s adorable, although yep… sometimes certainly embarassing a bit ;))

Right.

This early morning. Finally. Mine. Thank God.

Today I’ve been not productive AT ALL at work and people had that look on their faces with they equally pity me and are happy for/with/along me for.

My dad and I were on a not-debatable kind of truce today because he knows for how hard I might try, there’s just ONE thing today that’s in my head.

And heart.

And all that comes along.

Yesterday we were having a BBQ at my parents straight as we came back from Naples (more later…) and as midnight stuck in I tried to check iTunes to see if it was already up.

NOPE.

So I went to bed knowing today I would have waken up soon (moving from my parental house along Karim to reach Milan requests always that…).

But I wasn’t mind.

Because I would have woken up by excitement at 5 anyway, you know.

Hands All Over creators. Thank you. You made a masterpiece.

YES.

After 14 months of awaiting (since they booked into with Mutt Lange in July 2009, yep) I FINALLY could listen to Hands All Over.

Because I NEVER heard any of the songs in beside Last Chance (live from the gigs of tour last year, a single-off listening my friend Margherita forced me at, and which I regretted for months…) and even though I had all songs stored and saved because people send those to me from all the world, I never checked A THING before it was available for purchase.

In Italy, the deluxe edition is available from today.

Tomorrow I will ALSO download the Deluxe pre-ordered version from the AMERICAN iTunes (Italians have one bonus track more, the awesome cover they did of “A Crazy Little Thing Called Love!!)

About leaks, you know I HATE those so no way I would ever listen to anything from such a source.

This is Hotel Vesuvio in Naples. Look up. Somebody was THERE...

It disgusts me and people *happy* about those leaks get all my despise too.

But even the preview they for first put on their MySpace was not checked by me.

Why?

Because I’m deadly serious about my favourite music.

The first listening to a new record from any of my very favourite artists is a holy moment for me, which I protect like an unborn child (I think every record is like a child, in fact…).

And with that I mean beside us, maybe? 😉

Therefore, there you go.

Get ready because I have listened to the album all day so far.

I have for a total 10 times yet (and going on) and I have all the elements SERIOUSLY to evaluate it.

I haven’t read any review: because, I don’t care, and because I’m more than able to review things myself in music ;).

Get into with me.

Sure, you can think that I’m biased but if any I would on the MORE STRICT with them.

Because if the privilege of being among my favourite artists is that I buy “CLOSED BOX” anything you put up, the downside is that I expect MORE than average ALWAYS especially from those.

Hands All Over. The only thing my iPod will play for a month.

This is Maroon5 “Hands Al Over” Review (Deluxe version, with the European addition of A Crazy Little Thing Called Love”).

Hands All Over - 1 -

Being foreign to their language, I have someway the plus of being able to perceive “at first listening” only the musicality of a record, because it takes enough to me to pay less attention to the words as they’re spoken, and go with the flow of the notes ONLY.

Then I get to evaluate the lyrics, to see if they match the first feeling of emotional spectrum given out by the music.

You gotta understand the music has many layers of perceptibility: there is the esthetic value of a genre of sound, and then there is the proper “caracter and style” of a determined series of musical choices, instruments that better than others underline specific feelings (like, for instance, cellos which suggest melancholy and drama, violins which are romantically charged for their elusive sounding caress, distorced guitars that suggest force and rebellion, and so on and on…).

A great record twists with these elements of sound in a way all of them seems just FITTING the syle of the artist, the meaning of the songs, the vocal style the songs are delivered in, and the way the ones who heard it (not casually) naturally set up on the same patterns of feelings suggested by that music.

Independently, often, from the ability they may actually have to understand the spoken language of the songs.

This is a concept Mutt wanted the boys to get, and this is exactly what I am used to do since I firstly got into foreign music (age 7) and which I was trying to explain to you when I started saying at first listening I try not to pay attention to words (which doesn’t mean after I don’t CAREFULLY listen and evaluate them all, of course).

It’s a chemistry in progress and stabilization and once you grab it… “BAM”: you have something special in your hand.
Put your hands all over there then ;)…

Sadly people are often just too shallow to get such richness behind real music (I’m not talking about pre-made shit the charts are fullfilled with…).

Musically speaking, the work of Mutt Lange on this record is AWESOME.

Hands All Over - 3 -

It’s a proper journey into a love story, with all emotions covered, and that is why the ORDER the songs are put into the record matters.

In fact, if in 2002 we had “Songs About Jane”, it’s hard not to think this record might have been called “Songs About Becky (Ginos)”.

It’s actually natural: Adam puts in songs all of his own life, and the most important thing happened to him in the times he did write those songs (and I have no trouble placing among those also the lyrics for Gotten he gave to Slash for their collaboration, because I can totally see that song right after “How”, or before “Just A Feeling”, because the lyrics TOTALLY are from the same times, sure…) MUST have been Becky.

Sure, doesn’t mean all songs are totally or always about her… but camon. Most of them surely are.

Adam uses songwriting as a therapy to heal his heart and to find a way to escape and move forward from the past.

It’s one of the most precious outputs of being a songwriter, and that’s what makes him an artist in the first place: he colors his world through the nuances of his life filtering it: and allow us to sneak in and see what we can find that speaks about ours too.

And from all counts, that therapy worked again (he’s all happy now, isn’t he? ;)): moved on, found new love, ready to see if what he learnt from the feelings that inspired THESE songs will produce something new after (I so hope… an happy album talking about marriage and kids? That’d be adorable… but it’s not here that I should talk about it ;)…).

The spectrum of HAO, and now we’re back there, covers magnifically and deeply the way a man moving into his 30s had to handle the difficulties of finding a way to keep a meaningful relationship working.

And failing at it (gaining a new maturity from that failure, throughout pain you grow up, right?).

I can already imagine that many will complain about lacking of “sexual inputs” in these bunch of songs.

Beside the fact that their sexual style still there, I think it’s only NORMAL for the focus to be on more emotional bits than merely sexual ones.

When you move from 20 to 30, somehow you get that the sexuality is a powerful and fundamental thing in a relationship, but there’s all the rest that actually puts and keeps people together (it goes alone that if sex is not there, there’s NOTHING to build from the start… it’s just that at 30 you give that for given out, you don’t need to detail it so carefully anymore…).

And in this record, you get a couple of right-on-point notes from Adam about that, like rings he cannot give away, the fact he was able to love without wanting anybody to change, but never had the same vision from the counterpart, and the awesome confession that “Even if I don’t know nothing about love, I don’t mind dying trying to…”.

It’s an emotional path a truly romantic (yes, TRULY) man has walked onto, got taken up, got trashed down, tried it back and forth, and then realized that sometimes you met the right person at the wrong time, or the wrong person at the right time.

And all you can do about that… is save what you had learnt, and use it when you will next be able to.

There’s a burning passion in these songs, but differently from their previous records, it’s a more meditative kind of passion, and saying that, it’s clear that it’s an even deeper kind of passion, because it summonizes up to sexuality and physicity, all the affectionate and more adults accents to the word “passion”.

But let’s get back at the songs, musically first.

Mutt Lange was able to give coesive power to the numbers of influences Maroon5 always had on display.

It’s what makes me love them more for, but at the same time is exactly what prevents them from being worldwide and completely taken and accepted.

It’s like you can’t put them in an easy box, and this destroys the chance of having them covering the most commercial territory with ease.

It’s laughable to call them “too commercial”: they are far from that, and in fact even trying to be fully commercial, they would simply not reach the wanted outcome.

They CAN’T be commercial in full with such a rich and complicated sound (complicated in the sense of a too far reach).

To get the beauty of this record, you should actually be at the same time a REAL fan (not an occasional fan) of: pop, rock, indie, dance, clubbing, R&B, Soul and even Country.

For instance, out of all those influences, I’m only cold about Country.

And so, unsurprisingly, even if I do hear that it’s a beautiful song (it truly is), my last favourite (let’s say a 4 out of 5) is the Lady Antebellum’s duet.

But that’s MY taste: as you will see later in the precise review, I find the duest awesome, and the song warm and delicious.

It’s just that I don’t really feel the Country style, unless you are not called Neil Young.

And so I imagine what someone into only pop or only rock or only soul could think of this record.

The musical layers of this album are extraordinary clean and polished, but there’s no overproduction AT ALL and that’s one of the most amazing achievements of Mutt there.

Simplicity means elegance.

Especially right now that we are submerged by so much sonic tricks that hearing a song resembles something you should do while you float in the space.

Nothing wrong with that, except that this is an intimate feeling album, something that one should listen while living on planet Earth without wishing to belong to Vega.

Old fashioned?

Maybe, if old fashioned means BETTER than the average and especially better than the CURRENT TIMES average (which is pretty awful).

Mutt Lange brought off Maroon5 maximum versatility and honesty.

The result is a tight collection of songs that are EACH actually worthy of a single release (and also that is gonna cause trouble).

But the real thing is that each song gains more sense and value if listened exactly before and/or after the one that preceeds/follows.

It’s a story.

In chapters.

And all chapters have a great groove or sonic connotation that show how talented as musicians they are.

Then there’s Adam.

His way to be expressive with his voice has reached a full maturity too.

It’s intriguing, because years of touring have actually thinned his voice (he should so much take care of it… but I guess to make him stop eating chocolate and drinking coffee is not on the plans… like it isn’t having him doing daily streching excercise for vocal chords…oh, well ;)… its’ what every singer experience… see Bono, which has the same kind of thin voice), but as a singer he’s growing into stratosphere now.

He can give depth to any sentence in any song just by slightly changing the timbric value, the tonal range, the uptempo or the downtempo like you can really perceive the feeling he was meant to translate into those sung lines.

And what really is fantastic is that when he knows he can’t stretch due to overuse of voice, he changes the melody to mantain STILL the emotional value of the verse sung, even in the total change of key and or dynamic.

Total POWER-ness of vocal ability.

TOTAL.

And Adam”s at the top of his expressivity in this album.

He truly sings his soul out and I was sure he would have since after I firstly heard Gotten.

If that was an indication of the album (because that was surely a lyric for this album), I knew I was ready to have magic in this record.

And I have.

The album starts from what’s MORE Maroon5 style and then it starts to departure (it’s not a departure actually, more like a developing), song after song, but delicately, so that is actually like you catch a flower of many layers (a rose?) blossoming and open up hour after hour to reveal all most beautiful colors and a total-ness to it.

At the same time, you get a clear storyboard: you have a previous relationship that breaks, which is Misery actually, with its perfect uptempo beat and the charmingly pain of Adam that sighs at you by maintaining his totally cool self as per usual (I tend to believe that actually both Misery and Give a Little More are among the last songs that he wrote off the bunch… for some reason the kind of depth there is more easy going, the level of intensity of music and lyrics is lovely, but nowhere as near to what will happen after. Which is why I believe none of these two are about Becky not even remotely. But it’s a guess, of course… it comes off from analyzing a song just like I would with a poem ;)).

Then you get the always on the prowl lover has started to move on and is in search of something new.

It starts with sex as per usual, because of course the first thing has to be physical… but in the groovy, very 70’s like Give A Little More the dance-y vibe already sublimates a moment of romance in disguise. I love the lyrics because as usual Adam’s able to depict so well an inmost moment of inner struggle within himself.

It’s like he TRIES to not get involved, but if you listen to this album, and even summonize it up with everything he has written about his life before, you actually know that he is actually on the perpetual search for a soulmate.

Somebody, you will learn it after, “able to slow him down”.

This honesty is almost a double killing weapon.

But it produces great songs.

What is great about the starting up of the album, is that the songs progress as for greatness in sound and evolution as the story of this man in perpetual love trouble develops.

But you’re gonna be surprised by the way this time he’s gonna treat his outputs there.

Third song, and one of my very favorites here arrives.

Hands All Over - 9 -

Stutter has a totally amazing beat, and an infectious melody, with some genius changes of rhythmic choices and a beautifully sung main line. And then there’s that “Ss–SSs-Stutter” way he has to sing it that makes me go all awing.

It’s a song that has some resounding electronic beat but without anything of the cold gimmicks that have transformed the charts worldwide in the same song repeated by dozens of different singers (that anyway sound all the same thanx to AutoTune).

It’s modern without being fake.

And it depicts interactions of loving games awesomely.

I also love that Adam defines (and not only in this song, just because as I said this is an album that develops a story in CHAPTERS) the way this woman makes him realize he’s in dangerously spreading love mood by the term “shudder”: it means shaking, but in a way that implies someway terror along.

This is VERY psychological and again, crystally clear honest from him.

He WANTS to fall completely in love and being able to really give it up all for it BADLY: but at the same time, that sense of vertigo terrifies him.

I’m sure Catullo and his Odi Et Amo (or U2 along “With or Without you” which was inspired by it) somewhere up above looks at Adam and thinks “We know the feeling, buddy…” Love terrifies males as much as it is needed wildly by them to feel a sense of belonging finally.

I can say that after all the listening I would have SURELY picked up Stutter as first single.

It’s Maroon5 in total but unlike Misery it’s an happy song from top to bottom, in the sense not only the music is happy, but also the words are.

It’s a superb pop rock song.

Just flawless.

And with Stutter we are in that moment when love starts to match up with passion… the hesitations of Give A Little More are kinda bypassed, and the man is well trapped. Hear the wonderfully charming beat and a smile should appear on your face: again brilliant work in matching a feeling from the first note to the last word, but in a very classy, not banal way.

It’s a GREAT song.

Hands All Over - 10 -

From the fantasy world of expectations in Stutter, we move on and we have Don’t Know Nothing: our lover has a problem in giving also the requested SOUL after he’s starting to give all of his heart to this demanding new girl. Fancy how males don’t get that for females the two things are THE SAME…

This song is very 80’s sounding, not in the wave of Duran Duran or Electronic synthetizers: this song is very 80’s Lionel Ritchie and Stevie Wonder, groovy and flamboyant, and has that retrò nuance that matches its shortness awesomely.

There’s a dreamy feeling that stays after listening to it, like all these questions about this relationship are staying within our guy after a bad dream, or a sleepless night; something you cannot yet place fully in the reality or in the subconscious of him.

This one still a hopeful kind of song, in the sense yet nothing seems lost.

But it’s about to change, and again the sound of the next song is a further layer on the painting that is this record (Kanye West may be more able to convey the links between music and figurative arts, but the fact is Maroon 5 do it as well without saying it… maybe even without acknowledging it ;)).

Never Gonna Leave This Bed is the ballad that fits rightly as the middle approaches.

It’s reflective and the passion arises as some quarrel has apparently taken place between the boy&girl. The melody is softening but titillating.

The chorus is like a litigious yet totally lovingly argument that slows down and gets them back from discussion to a make-up bed.

You start to “feel” about this relationship: and it’s someway clear that in all that, the most vulnerable one, although not the most outspoken is definitely the one who wears pants.

You get that she is trying to rush him, but maybe she doesn’t get how involved he’s already, because she cannot understand how important for him is the way she’s able to “slow his demons down”.

Point is that the two conflicting ways of males and females keep collide “So you say GO, it isn’t working, and I say NO it isn’t perfect so I’ll stay instead…”.

When the ballad starts its hypnotic prayer at the end, you really lie beneath a thundering storm of affection that risks to vanish in uncomprehensible pain… and the way it’s sung makes you really be part of all that.

Taking side.

Wishing along.

Reviving times when maybe YOU had to feel that.

That’s the way music reasonates with people, if people avoid to be simplistic.

Perfectly tied up with Never Gonna Leave This Bed (which was for me really reminding of Noel Gallagher when he was keen at American style of music (Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants era, just… naturally american) is the follow up, the punching and hitting “I Can’t Lie” which reminds me a lot of a cross between Beach Boys meeting Semisonic or a 60’s version of Jack Johnson.

A song that is tearful, and where the pain tries to be put under that kind of forced shown joy (the happy thrilling music) just when you’re starting to hit rock bottom, but your friend say to you: ” Camon, get out with us, everything’s gonna be fine”… but you just can’t really stop being feeling miserable, even if you try to put up your okay face.

I Can’t Lie starts to make us see how much in Hands All Over pretty much all melodic stages of modern music are covered. This is white soul with a glam touch, really discrete.

And the lyrics are so revealing and open again you can watch a couple of lives through magnifying lens.

The one of the songwriter, and your own one trying to find back in your life something that matches the pain you suddenly feel as well along him singing.

This song is matching again some kind of retro vibe, but I guess what is that make it sound retro is just the fact this is real music where synth and autoshit has been put away.

I also love that Mutt Lange has diminished drastically the multi-layering over Adam’s voice.

It makes the entire set sound so much more personal, as his voice truly shines in its most pure sound, where you can appreciate all from breathing to sighs to whispers to cracking expressive cries.

At the middle of the record (the extras of the deluxe version are rightly a DIFFERENT part of the record, so the title track is in the middle), the shock and turning point of the record itself and of the story in stages the record depict.

Hands All Over is a proper rock song.

Adam uses the voice in a different way and again it reminds me a lot (the song, not his voice) of Oasis style of rock, which is classic Beatles melody matching some roughness. This song for some reason reminds me of “Underneath The Sky”, even though it has no link at all not even melodically… anyway in itself is one of the standouts of the record.

And here the relationship is gone, the man tries a different take, and it has that swagger of somebody who WANTS to feel okay knowing that he has dispositions for that, but with that tad of too much swagger that is determined by a suffering, tearing pain instead.

This song is amazing.

One of their best skills is that Maroon 5 can pretty much attempt ANY rhythmical pace.

Any. Single. One.

Hands All Over - 11 -

This versatility is so rare that shoud be cherished universally.

And again the way the record develops is like a journey through a composite land that still unique and a piece in itself.

But let’s go on.

The attempt at forgetting the one who cannot be forgotten and the “take on the wild side” has apparently failed.

Because the subsequent song, the completely fantastic “How”, just depicts in the most honest way a man who “doesn’t know nothing about love” (because he keeps losing it, allegedly) but “Doesn’t mind if he dies trying it”.

There’s a completely flattering merging of pop and soul directed inputs here; at the end the chorus sounds like a gospel prayer (and this is really matching Gotten feelings).

It’s one of those kind of sad songs that turns out to be hopeful; not because the story will end any better (it seems it won’t), but because you get from the symphonic building up of the music and the vocal that the man (in extended sense, it can mean a woman too) is anyway growing up through all that he/she’s passing as of late.

This song elevates you: and it’s one of most phenomenal vocals Adam ever delivered.

So deep it becomes ethereal.

So deeply his… it becomes deeply YOURS.

To get back to more uptempo territories, after the previous song has pretty much left you above on a high cloud (though while you’re crying…), it comes the sheer perfection of Get Back In My Life melody.

Our guy has tried… “distractions”… has failed to find them really mattering, has opened again his heart at somebody who allegedly has doubts about a new start and then more vigorously tries to explain the concept better (that’s very malish I have to say).

There’s a not veiled reference to a re-hook up (we could place it temporarily, but we are ladies and we won’t ;)).

This is a case of a song where the melody IS sexier and the way words are sung make them sexier than the words itself are meant to be.

And this truly is pure Adam’s style… Mutt has emphasized it to a wonderful extent: it’s Jackson-esque but at the same time this song is still rockier than you’d expect Maroon 5 to be.

And man, it’s such a pleasure to hear something like that…

After the blastering enthusiasm and confidence of this song though, and after apparently the trick HAS worked, the following song, which is awesome, start with a calmness that resembles a drop in an ocean.

It’s an aftermath, you can guess it straight as melody starts… but you get immediately it’s not a really happy one.

There are still tears to cry.

Because sometimes, simply, you cannot fix what’s not meant to work in the first place: “You said you wish you didn’t love me anymore” and words that have already been said that can’t be forgotten anyway.

“This is more than a goodbye”… and then the devastation just leaves you speechless, so much that you cannot even name that void you perceive when you realize what you wanted to obtain is lost to never return, no matter what you can try to get it back.

You’re mute, but you would love to try to name that void… and all yo remain with is a loop that tells you – as you get it bite your soul – that all you are at the moment is “just a feeling”… an unnamed feeling that you can’t face but that you can’t either let go.

Adam’s vocals in this song, especially in the most thoughtful sounds, so low and weighting, are simply exceptional.

He rips your heart apart and so you probably get to feel how HE was feeling when he was living that.

It’s a song that deserves all possible kudos: and the way he wrote it, makes me truly love him even more than I normally do.

It takes balls to depicts you that vulnerable, without sounding corny or fake.

“And in my darkest days when she refused to go away…”: there you go, you thought you had someone finally able to get the whole of you (that is what love should be all about) but now all is gone and ended.

And you still have that impossible to quantify pain and void that eats you and you become THAT feeling of unescapable despair you cannot even name.

Like a loop… ongoing… till when maybe one day, naming that feeling, you can start to actually move on from it (and that’s teh final line of the song, music less, when he faces that it’s over.).

And there you go, lovers are not lovers anymore, and a dark sound strikes in, metallic and cold, as cold must be the way the guy now feels after he lost it all, and the question comes suddenly and straight: “What am I supposed to do with my time?” Adam angrily ponders in “Runaway”, and he still tries to give himself reasons for things that cannot be sticking back together, and fiercely although broken has to find an escape.

In dark times, escapes can be just another name for a worst trapping, and he seems to acknowledge it in this tough tune, that still has an impeccable melody and killer lyrics, but thereyou go, that person is so hard to let go by, and he has to attempt something more again, as the darkened down rhythm takes a jump and becomes less heavy, without losing grip: “Don’t think it’s best for us to turn away and say goodbye, I have this feeling when I finally found the words to say, but I can’t tell you if you turn around and run away…”

Because to give something a true go again… you gotta be agreeing over it.

And when you start to have no more clues, it comes what it’s the closure of the regular edition.

Maroon 5 go Country with “Out Of Goodbyes” (well, their mentor is Graham Nash… of course they have a part of them dedicates to Country and Folk… and after all Americans all have that if they play guitars…) and create a delicate, masterfully sung, tender duet that mixes awareness with melancholic acceptance.

Adam Levine duets with Lady Antebellum’s singer and it’s pure sounding heaven.

And this comes from somebody who, has aI confessed, DOESN’T like Country.

But even if it isn’t my cup of tea, gotta admit the song is classically beautiful and touching, and a perfect “teoric” closure of the record.

Except that it’s not… because you surely keep asking yourself something about this all at this point.

One at this points wonders WHAT makes this relationship so hard to be put back together, because if you are the average girl you just think once somebody like Adam Levine bleeds for you, you pretty much can’t ask for anything more, right?

WRONG. And Adam knows well what it is that generally ruins his chances at forever happy life.

He uses the opening lines of the next song, “Last Chance” to express which ones might be the conflicting points: ” I’m sure that he could give you everything, stability and diamond rings… all the things I do not have…”.

There you go.

While on the previous records the reasons of breakin up generally were left to the magination, in this record, which is more mature as for sound and definitely lyrics wise, you get to finally know what is that tarnishes the joy in LaLaLand of Mr. Levine.

It’s called “clingy-ness” or from the point of view of the female trying to get that ring on it, you could also call it “messy Peter Pan Syndrome”.

Of course these are all attempts at interpretation, but the point is in this record more than in all others, you really understand a scene.

You get a complete story, in all honesty. Because this vigorous, steamy track still impressively sincere.

This last chance he sings about is at both end’s takers, and at this point the game love is becoming kind of a poker play, because if he finds hard to let her go, it seems that no matter if she allegedly got somebody else, she also cannot really close up all doors to the one “who doesn’t like to lose”.

The rhythm of Last Chance gets vanishing into “No Curtain Call”, a song that has a drumroll in PURE Queen style (great job, Matt!) and not strangely, considering the location Maroon 5 recorded at, and the past of Mutt Lange.

This song alone would deserve a single, but the level of the album is so tight and high that this is (and so was the previous) a track for the special edition originally.

It’s an heavy, yet groovy and passionate song.

The song claims there won’t be curtain calls, and the chorus is so emotional, but in fact you REALLY get that this love has got to see lights go off, just when he sings it won’t.

It’s a dramatic song, and the drums and the spacious basslines make you have thumbling heart as he sings his countdown, and you know there’s no happiness after it.

Not this time.

But maybe next…?

The no curtain call isn’t for that specific love, which has actually to call its death in: it’s for the concept of love in general.That assumption, that you may be losing the greatest of love, but that doesn’t mean you have EVER to give up on love, is the true message of the record.

And the closure (the way it closes before the extras that I will just mention) is so apt for a wonderful, mattering, meaningful performance.

After the songlists there are the bonus tracks of the special version (The European edition has one more): you get wonderful acoustic versions of Never Gonna Leave This Bed, where the purity of the ballad gets enriched by the stripping down of instrumentals, the acoustic version of Misery (same as above, and you see how Adam twists the melody to fit the moods), the MAJESTIC cover of If I Ain’t Got You of Alicia Keys, the fantastic ghost track for Europeans that is the cover (completely awesome) of A Crazy Little Thing Called Love and – this in all editions deluxe – the beautiful, soulful, R&B colored The Air That I Breathe.

These songs let you see that hope stays in the core of the always on the prowl lover.

We’re pretty much sure this pain will make you find faster his real soulmate.

But until he won’t, we know we’re glad Adam bleeds along us, and let us have more wonderful songs to feel ours.

This record is BY FAR the best Maroon 5 have ever created.

Whomever may disagree, has SERIOUS trouble with real music.

But it ain’t my case.

And hopefully ain’t YOURS.

Now after I have shared the review, I will try to put up things that are left from the bunch of past days.

Funny how everything seems so less important than listening to a record, even though I had one of the greatest weekends ever…

But let’s go in line.

As per usual.

First of all, JOIN Maroon 5 and sweet Anne for the ONE campaign to end HIV for newborn children by 2015.

Then let’s try to briefly recap.

After the Paris rematch of the lovers, Adam did with K’naan Taratata in Paris (you will get some of that in next updates, today of course review took my whole time and space).

Paris was really beloved by Adam, also because who wouldn’t stay there a bit longer with your girlfriend?

Anne in fact did NOT leave after 20 hours to London.

Oh, no… 😉 they had three towns in three days, because before reaching Naples for the Coca Cola The Summer Song, they briefly touched down in Berlin too.

Being with Anne suggested strange ideas to Adam about future children’s names… not that his idea wasn’t taken up by someone else of course 😉

But being with Anne surely had other pluses.

As soon as she detailed she was coming as well to Naples, I had the widest of smiles: they are GORGEOUS seen together.

Pure and simple: a perfect couple under every angle you decide to watch and feel them with: and I’ll stop myself here.

You gotta just see that with your very own eyes: they sparkle together… it’s almost unfair for normal looking rest of the world 😉 (oh, and it looks like they took my suggestion for Zi’Teresa which was so near to Vesuvio hotel and Via Chiaia anyway 😉 and allegedly on the war between French Food and Italian one… Italian won hands down both with Anne and with her man ahahah! ;)) and that’s the upper view from the suite terrace, if you wonder 😉

I have lots of small notes to say about their saturday (and mine, though you know through Twitter), but I think that it can be summonized by the video Margherita sent me from the MTV broadcast.

The audio there is AWFUL (live it was way better) but you get the amazement of the host anyway (Valentina Correani is as tall as me… and as me she was bewildered by Adam… no good for her man 😉 mine at least is used to… LOL) while somebody should anyway start to point out that “Levine” is pronounced “Lev-y-ne” and not “Lev-i-ne” as for the rhyme with Divine… though one can understand the connection ;)).

Anyway when Adam and K’naan dueted on Bang Bang I was like over the moon 😉 and both of them were delighted about that, too!

This week they have tons of things to record in USA so I will come with another update soon, but by now I’m dead and need to cuddle with Karim: we’ve heard this record 13 times in full by now (he LOVES it!!!) and we’re inspired.

I know… you were used to more constant updates but ehi, my time is limited and fullfilled.

And expect more long yet rarefied updates because the incoming three weeks are gonna be like pivotal in my own life.

Engagement trips and all gigs and lots of indescribable bliss, you know, which will make the updates here be LONG but… happening when I have time to make them to ;)…

So, to recap, I was meant to write this on monday… then it got forwarded to tuesday… then it was supposed to be yesterday but no way… firstly I had too long of a meeting, then it was a surprise night with Karim on a retired SPA the subsequent day and then I had a lovely match of tennis and a really… *really* kinky night with friends for our “End of The Summer” bikini beachwear party at our loft yesterday and the only web space I could find, which was due, had to be my time at Lakers Blog in Los Angeles Times, where I have regularly written (well, I haven’t on tuesday actually: the time at the SPA was unexpected, unplanned and so precious I really forgot about anything else and just focused on me and my man. AWESOME…).

Karim is starting to feel even more… how to put it down properly… the approaching moment of our stepping off into the world as “She and Him”.

He’s always been gloriously romantic, and has always had those Earth-shattering ideas that he turns into blissful surprises for me to get blown away with, but lately, indeed, he’s just becoming like The Genius of Aladdin.

Only that instead of 3 wishes, I have like… 3000000 and I don’t even need to tell them: it’s like he reads my inmost expectations and dreams and hopes and just… make them real.

I guess it’s love.

But let’s talk about Sport… it freaks me out to realize how much I have MYSELF become a hopeless romantic sucker.

Talkin’ about Sport puts me back in my most used “bitchy style” (a cute one, camon…): after just noticing that Nadal won the USA Open (of course ;)…) in a beautiful, great final (that I saw post happening) against my second fav in the circuit, Djokovic (who sent Federer home… ahahaha 😉 AWESOME!), I have to say that footbal season has started to mean something after the impromptu shame of past saturday, when Milan LOST in Cesena (like… really?!!???).

Luckely we were in Florence having the best time ever in our favourite love town and I could avoid to feel too bad about it.

Fortunately Milan yesterday won in Champions, which was a serious blast instead: we were watching the game on a giant flat screen of 82″ (new item in the loft… it’s like having Cinematic at home ;)) and people got off from the Jacuzzi dripping water everywhere as they started to jubilate for Ibrahimovic scoring TWICE for us!!! (first half was a pain ;))

I have much to share, but before I forget, since I received it during the meeting on Monday, enjoy Billboard with the Sweet Babies (the patchwork of the scanned half pages is DREADFUL, I know… but ehi! be thankful that I scanned it at least… Jeez ;)).

I LOVED the quote about the architect Adam put there… while about the street credit, see my previous two blogs posts.

It’s hard to find it when all of your audience is composed by a landslide majority of screaming females, and it’s so because you, lead singer, are NOT really looking like an architect, but like a model, all handsome and noble in your perfectly chiseled face.

I know that for instance Brandon Flowers of The Killers has the same (well, not as gorgeous, but cute enough) type of beauty to display, but yet the Killers are perceived as more “real” than Maroon5; well that stays in the type of music the two bands play (less romance-oriented for the Killers, which appeals more to male crowds) and also in the fact Brandon never started to date sensible-to-stardom-and-there-belonging series of girlfriends (also a major turn-off in the realm of “indie-ness”… see for reference the backlash Matt Bellamy of Muse is experiencing NOW that he dates Kate Hudson – shakes head collectively …).

I share Adam’s and the guys’ pain about the mis-concept of the band but as I already said, I fear it’s late to intervene there.

I know… I’m cynical.

Because in the maintime it has happened that babies have ended their London Time, they’ve been already touched down in Paris (where they are currently, but ready to leave towards Naples I guess directly from Charles De Gaulle either tomorrow (more likely) or the morning after, on the 18th (don’t really think so…).

Oh, and just like I was guessing in the previous post… the two adorable lovers A. & A. have found (finally) a bunch of hours of space of time to reunite in Paris (she landed on an AA flight this very morning at 7.30 am) before he moves to Italy and she, from what I guess, to London for the Fashion Week there (London Fashion Week that starts as well on the 17th, so I think it’s obvious they will barely have 20 hours to spend together today… Oh, how TOTALLY romantic!!)

They reunited in the town of love.

My romantic setup at the moment is going off the roof… (I know for sure I couldn’t live 5 weeks away from Karim’s skin BUT they have that kind of lives… and it’s SOOOO cute they fought to arrange even the smallest of time together. Awww, I’m all in a sugar bathe ;)).

But I will get back on Adam and Anne later because during these days they’ve been absolutely brilliant in mutual shout outs over Twitter, so I will show you why they are a great couple also mentally (she seems to have his same kind of humor, which could be the best plus EVER, you know ;)).

Let’s get back at being timely accurate.

Where were we at?

Oh, yes, we were talking about the guys being in London and performing at La Scala (with the collection of super hero underwear that goes on… oh, boy… ;)), with famous acolytes coming witnessing DivineA.’s glory, (think the previous day they hung out with the Mighty Quincy Jones, you know…) and in the maintime we got to know that famous pals use Give a Little More as workout jam (not sure if Ryan Seacrest is ninja material, Adam… NOT REALLY?).

London allegedly inspired the boys their punkier version (naw… not really indeed ;)) and in all that, with ages of time changes in between, Anne was in that dreamy location from previous post completing her shooting task and… making wish at falling stars (I for one in her place would have expressed just one wish, like a million times… I’m just saying… ;)).

As it always happens when they are apart, if she starts to twitter, he starts too (and in reverse) and the more far apart they are, the kinkiest the tweets become (not openly… let’s say… laterally ;)).

But Divine Creature always merges his kinkiest side with his most spiritual one, that makes him thank above for the life he is gifted to live.

And there, yoga is a huge help, anywhere he goes (his yogini follows him, so…).

London also inspired Adam a declaration that I hope he won’t regret one day.

I love the way he lets his own creative mind speak, and of course I adore the way he is bonded in double chain with the guys who are sharing his same life since they’re kids but… somehow… I don’t know how to express this…

I would avoid to be THAT cathegoric.

I would.

Creativity is a flow.

And when you are in a creative bunch, it’s not only what YOU think and hope that matters, but also what the others involved feel and want and hope for.

Because as far as statement goes, this one is pretty damn huge (beautiful and cute and all… but it’s gonna be so regrettable in case things develop differently… not that I wish they’d ever do, of course):
