This is nothing more than a little way to say “Happy Xmas” around.
And being this MY blog, and being this MY world, I decided to do this through what makes me feel always… any possible way 😉
To wish the world a happy Xmas (but not yet a wonderful New year because before Year ends I will properly update the blog… with my life, my likes and stuff, with a recap of the wonderful 2012 Maroon 5 have had, with Behati and Adam and their strong ongoing love all out of paparazzi’s reach, and with much more… JUST that it will be then and not now ;)) I put up for you all to enjoy THE BEST CONCERT I haven’t been to – and trust me I wish I had the tickets for it!!! – which I hope inspires you all the most positive charge for these holidays.
It’s a gift and I hope you appreciate.
Please, buy the album as I have immediately done too or donate directly from the site so that you can help those in needs.
Christmas shall essentially be a great chance for everybody to be there for others.
And it’s be great if Xmas could happen actually every… week for it 😉
Happy Xmas time.
See you in a few days for the REAL blog update and the farewell to 2012 🙂
No rain falling… but lots of things to be happy about for this gal, who’s spending her morning time all tied up and nakedly merged with the most awesome creature ever.
My Karim.
My love.
Miami time rocked.
I won’t say “my life”, cos my life is so much other than just another person, no matter how amazing, but… “the highlight of my life” is pretty okay when speaking of him.
In a short amount of hours – well, tomorrow – I’ll be jumping again on our little (not so little) private plane (am I saying “ours”? It’s not. It’s Karim’s uncle one but he’s gonna be family soon… he already is ;)) and heading to the Land of my Joy, Japan along our families and closest relatives.
Our friends are also coming from literally all the world, as we have arranged flights and staying for them as well, for an entire WEEK.
Shiooooot I’m gonna marry.
Who would have believed it?
So many thoughts and feelings, but in so many ways this month-long partying all over the world (if you follow my twitter, you know what I’m talking about… ) felt like a celebration of my life and my friends and family ties, all heading, merging and mashing towards an event that somehow is gonna re-shape them all.
Enforcing them all.
Re-birthing them all.
We had an amazing and well-shared fun… we had mega parties in multiple towns all over Europe and US… we had CRAZY bachelorette parties and bachelor’s one (but we weren’t there so… I can’t judge ;)) we had very satisfying sexual plays (you know I’m mastering those, and kinky’s my second name), we went to Hamptons, we did sail in yacht and had amusing family time, we flew through Miami and had luxury treatments, we moved West Coast to enjoy friends and Maroon 5 (and Stevie Wonder, for me and Karim only pleasure though) at the Hollywood Bowl (nice, but somehow I couldn’t digest the presence and the flair of the Fuckery The Voice’s guest Javier Colon, who’s a good singer but nowhere he ever touched any inner chord of mine, sorry… Luckily the amazing Stevie Nicks saved the feeling of my night and somehow helped me re-assessing my good feeling with Maroon 5 and Adam), then we had fun in Catalina (ziplining rocks!!) in place of Las Vegas, before friends head back to Europe and their Usa’s place and only K&I enjoyed time with our families reunited first in his hometown (Love San Fran to death) and then here, in Paris, where we are takin off from in just a little while more.
Stevie Nicks bit was awesome…overall though I like Maroon 5 better in smaller venues; and what you will hear Adam say later on in a video that I will upload explains why (his voice is amazing but too thin sometimes for stadium sized venues).
yesterday night. Lovely Paris
Back on marriage though…
It’s funny because I still feel like marriage, whose concept is surrounding us from weeks and weeks, amidst dozens of references, bookings and plans, ain’t my thing.
I didn’t need it.
Somehow I still don’t.
I would have lived perfectly without it… it doesn’t add a thing to my life and my love BUT it does to my lover’s one and that’s why I agreed to marry him.
Don’t get me wrong: I’m putting myself 1000% behind this step (in my own way, which Karim knows and approves and love).
It’s just that I don’t necessarily thing it adds or detracts a thing to a relationship.
Marriage is mostly a way society of only A PART of the world and only from selected historical sections of it has found to preserve conventional tranquility.
Often actually damaging the reality of relationship statuses, teaching how to deceit, how to lie, how to be hypcrital just for a void “sake of the institution of it”, alienated longtime from the real FEELING of it instead.
I have been lucky to have gotten great examples of marriages working around me, firstly in my own family but I have never been naive about that.
Philosophy, History, concepts of Law and abiding of that have taught me much other things and all not flattering about the “sanctity” of marriage.
In a way I agree with what Adam declared about it on a very beautiful interview he did last week with Piers Morgan on CNN.
It’s a very beautiful interview that I’m willing to post here in its entirety (with my usual styled add-ons) because it marked in many ways my re-acceptance of him fully post Hollywood Bowl gig (though sorry, I will still NEVER approve of his choice to be on a reality tv competition, and I will never watch a thing of it until I have breath, no matter how into it he genuinely seems, also from this interview):
Anyway, back on the reason of my likings of this interview, which links to my pre-marriage status.
Yes, I see how marriage and real love or good relationship truly have never had much to share or depend on to.
A real happy relationship doesn’t need marriage, as much as marriage won’t in any way guarantee anything about the good output of a relationship.
What matters are love, respect, sincerity, acceptance, care, interests, clicking, out-sights about life – they don’t necessarily have to be coming from the same point, but have to be heading in the same direction – and sexual correspondences.

Love is important; in the sense without it not much else can give the same satisfaction.
Look: I’m talkin love in the widest of senses, not only or just the romantic/sugarly kind of it.
Love is love of a family and friends and the general skill in makin another feels that you have a heart beating for them.
In any form.
I have always thought empathy is a key to a good relationship: you gotta try and understand another point of view…
People never think “all the same”, and especially that never applies to “everything”, nor “under every circumstance”.
Love doesn’t measure at all over that, and in fact many successful links and bonds survive just because they are existing among very different people.
It’s the outreaching and the willingness to outreach to join another one’s dimension that gives the measure of your love for that person.
And it’s all but easy or given; which is why not many relationship are often that successful after a while, given the different level of passion and enthusiasm about one another that forcefully time sets in.
You gotta put so much work in any bond for it to survive, evolve and broaden.
But I do believe relationship can be eternal, if they apply to change and remain SINCERE and true.
Fairy tales don’t exist.
Hard work does.
You may think I’m cold but trust me I’m very happy and joyous instead.
These joyous days for instance though have been also worsened by a tragic news: Amy Winehouse died alone and sad out of her misery and solitude.
It’s horrifying that no love could help her loneliness and heal her wounded soul.
And therefore we lost one of the brightest talents EVER in popular music:
So sad nobody helped her quest for true love; that would have saved her, and her amazing songwriting ability to keep blessing our lives too:
That’s what I meant when I say love is important, and the key for anyone’s life.
Catalina's bliss!
I found it… and in some lil time I’ll be walkin down a beautiful aisle, with the most amazing family and friends, in the most amazing other Country ever (which is LOVE for me, too), all dressed in white (creamy white, camon) to join my path along the most amazing man who ever walked down this planet.
Don’t expect personal pictures to surface though… and so no guests will be allowed to share them (ehi… our bodyguards can be tough… lol!).
Private times are sacred for us, but you will get a glimpse and a stream of joy that’s for sure, because happiness is ruling me so much I can’t avoid to share it 🙂
Karim… I love you.
I promise you will never regret putting that ring on me.
See you after Japan bliss… keep checking twitter if you wanna look out for more 😉
Incoming bride Miss Z. salutes you…and what will I be after? Missus Z.?
Maybe 😉
Take care and have a great August everybody 🙂 I leave you with the return of >The Chief!!!
Hail to Noel Gallagher and his beautiful Death Of You And Me from High Flying Birds‘ incoming record – that of course I already pre-ordered.
Enjoy!:
PS: I finally agreed in doing something for Marghe and Serena and their Maroon 5 dedicated blog that I host 😉 BUT… I will just put up things… THOSE things… without editing. because for edit them I’d have to watch em and NO WAY 😉 Yes… I keep being in denial of that and pissed off on the whole Fuckerything.
Wait some hours days. We’ll work on that in Japan I guess 😉 from on the plane ;).
That will help chase away tinglings probably… ouch?
Sounds like I am turning bridezilla???
One of Karim's amazing gifts made out of fresh roses, in honor of my own name 🙂
Waiting for Karim’s parents to reach us from Malpensa (yep, they will stay here a couple of days… well, not HERE in our loft all time, cos I’d freak out, but here in Milan, yep), and after a very intense working day (where I have finally managed to get back to do some pilates though, so it’s all good ;)) I am trying to fill these pages also because in 4 days we leave and I won’t update blogs till October 13.
Think that this same update is likely to be written in pieces so I am starting it now that’s Monday, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I’d extend it on Tuesday and maybe even Wednesday (so check the very likely “UPDATE Shoutouts”).
Adam arrives at Letterman, 21st september 2010
What can I do… I’m busy.
Plus there are so many things on the horizon for me it’s a miracle in the first place if I update blogs at all.
It’s just that I have a couple of words to say, especially musically, so this is going to be kinda LONG post and a bit of a rant too (not really a rant, camon… but probably a very long informative post too).
Before stepping in the music week (some would call it maybe on some aspect a “Mourning Week” but I won’t because to me what’s gonna happen has reasons that have NOTHING to do with artistry, so I’m fine with the outputs, although maybe I can have a regret or two. But that NEVER on the artistic side. You will understand me later… ;)), I have to pinpoint that YEP… in four days we leave towards California where Karim and I will get formally engaged.
Adam At The Grove, 24 September 2010 - 1-
I plan a small change in my online backgrounds just to make you get a glimpse of us together, but in a safe image that cannot be and won’t be spoiled or misused cos we’re not full frontal. Plus for Up’s Sake Karim’s hair are growing back (yeah… you know from my twitter this Summer he went all skin cut because he was feeling the heat. Not that he was not hot there as well, but I like to pass hands through hair so… glad his hair are getting back to be… toucheable ;).
What else?
Oh, yeah… we will go round in Cali followed by SECURITY.
This is because Karim’s parents will be around but also because this is actually the way the majority of Karim’s life has been lived like.
Hands All Over launch party at Le Bain Sept. 2010
That is actually one of the reason he loves to live in Italy for: he has no family or status commitments of no type – or at least he has very few only – and in fact when I was like “Whoooo!!! Security for us? COOL!!!” he was just “Trust me, it ain’t a good thing… especially when you live like that since the start of your life…”.
I always tend to forget Karim’s background.
I shouldn’t but for me he’s… just this awesome man full of heart and talent and brain and sensitivity and for real all the rest disappears and for me… security shit really feels more like… a way to protect such a wonderfulness from scary people.
Adam At The Grove 24th Sept 2010 - 2-
But yeah.. I get it can be demanding for the self to be surrounded by such things since the whole of your life.
That’s why we will live in Italy, right? 😉 (for the foreseable future at least ;)).
At the moment that I am writing NOW, with not big surprise by my side (you know from all my previous posts how I was finding IDIOTIC the type of promotional duties and timetables the guys chose to commit to in Summer for Hands All Over…) all charts are basically kickin in the guts Sweet Babies latest effort (which doesn’t mean, see my previous post with the review, this ain’t their best effort in full fact), because okay that they are entering all charts in the top ten, but that is a serious step back compared from the release of If Won’t Be Soon Before Long.
The chart of USA, which will anyway show a MAJOR decrease in selling numbers (but again, EVERY artist has experienced a decrease to 1/3 of what they were formally able to sellcompared to three years ago, see Linkin Park, for instance.. that’s the state of Industry right now…) at the moment I am writing – MONDAY – is a battle with Zac Brown Band (an ass half-pop half-country band which STOLE already the Grammy of Best New Artist from MGMT last edition, and which like all Country acts benefits from the fact the Country fans still buy records and don’t rely on Torrent/eMule/Stealing music), which the Country act could easily win I believe, just because of a series of elements.
Hard Rock Cafe showcase 22 Sept. 2010
Which I am about to detail (and which have been enlightened also before in parts over these pages).
Think that while you read all this two things have to stay clear in your mind:
HANDS ALL OVER IS A PERFECT ALBUM and MY FAVOURITE of Maroon5.
I CANNOT CARE LESS OF CHARTS, especially in days like this where shit generally rules anyway.
All that being said, let me detail my view about the “demise”… Factors that troubled this whole release were:
1 – As I wrote before: Country acts are still BOUGHT by their not tech savvy fans. In this, Country right now is the hugest and more marketable products in USA.
On the opposite side of the mountain, Maroon 5 fans are of the category that has no trouble downloading their songs illegally, being the usual melting pot of pop, urban, mainstream listeners (I give to their more rockish and r’n’b fanbase, which still part of their audience, a more driven will of going out and actually BUY their stuff still… but we all know from the datas of the sharing sites that Hands All Over has been majorly listened and downloaded way before its release… see again my previous posts disgust about this all).
Then this Zac Brown Band record is the second of an hyped band (they got the nuber feature in Billboard on the week of release of the record actually, which tells you some doesn’t it?), and we all know how much that works well, because in 2007 Maroon5 were media darlings as well.
Advantage ZBB, regardlessly of the quality of offering. That is watered down country at best, but ehi, I don’t like Country in first place myself, not even if Maroon 5 perform it actually… And moreover really, Zac Brown Band is a very watered down pop country crossover, nothing as great as Dave Matthews for instance, more of a bastardized version of that.
Adam At The Grove, 24 Sept. 2010 - 3-
Again on the opposite side, the press about Maroon 5 and the general consensus has been moderately cold. A part of the spectrum has reckoned that this is actually their most complete record and easily their best, while the majority has expressed doubts about this all given the fact to ditch the sound so marketable and uniquely theirs of Songs About Jane, after all the world was asking them to put it back, would have been not well taken by the wide majority of their fanbase (which someway has happened, but this is because that fanbase cannot accept a growth artistically of the band. And there, sorry, I don’t follow the “common fanbase” at all.).
Adam At The Grove, 24 Sept. 2010 - 4-
And let’s face… hype of the market is NEEDED in these times of downhill music sales (phenomenon which will keep going on and on till all we are gonna have will be huge debuts, and then quick disappear of lots of “new acts”, unless they won’t follow religiously all steps of planning heads at their record HQs…).
2 – A complete WRONG pick up of the singles to come up with by the babies (a thing that I will honestly NEVER understand, and probably they underestimated too… Okay that you may feel out of touch with contemporary taste, but… THIS much? I have no idea how such a mistake could be made…).
Without a great driving first single, you just cut off any chance of your album to be a best seller, and this especially if you’re an established act, because you instantly gather the feeling from “environment” that you might just not be in tune with common sense anymore (which is awesome if you are the alternative hipster, and way less marvelous if you are meant to be super mainstream).
Adam At the Grove 24 Sept. 2010 - 5 -
You know I was skeptical about the tone of lyrics off Misery for being the first single (see all my previous posts about this topic), even though I loved the happy musical dress of the song, which I was thinking was suitable for the Summer. But by the time I was guessing all that, I didn’t know that in the record there was a song like STUTTER.
For Christ’s sake… what were they on to to NOT picking that up as first single?????
That song was perfect for Summer: groovy, unescapable, boosty, HAPPY (yep, an happy song, that is what people want to hear in Summer and especially if it’s a comeback single…ARGH!!), very power pop, totally Maroon5 and sexy at the right level…
Give A Little More would have been a good single choice as for number two, even though for me I Can’T Lie is far superior and moreover it would have showed that kind of retro’ sound, mourning but still happy in its sonic perception, that Maroon 5 fans off the first time LOVE.
Yes, because where is clear that the sound has shifted from Songs About Jane (I see it as an evolution, but we know legions of fans are actually let down by the fact they forgot R’n’B because that was in their eyes the uniqueness of Maroon 5 – to me it’s only partially true, but I can understand that point – ), truth is that I Can’T Lie would have content a lot exactly those kind of SAJ fans.
Holy Sky... click on the image to get on the blog where the original image was taken off from (here it's reworked with lights to erase background). He's PERFECT. End of it.
3 – The detachment from the moment they started to surface back with the singles and the time the album was released.
Hewl… way too long gap. Way too long. They had MONTHS to start to create a campaign for this all, and dunno why, they decided to take it so easy they were basically living under the radar.
It’s a choice, sure, they are entitled to it, but this was bound to take a HUGE toll.
4 – The complete let down of the rest of the world as for promotional duties during the pre-release time.
Okay this is something I have expressed concern, regret and disappointment all over and I’m not surprised at all of the outputs it has brought.
I hope they aren’t either because I cannot see how they could expect anything different than from what’s happening in the world-round charts.
You can think it’s not important as long as America works but that is so untrue: in a world so connected, the buzz in the REST of the world shows up is actually a boost and a comfort ALSO for your main market.
And unsurprisingly, the opposite effect drives your main market too (which is happening).
Relevance is a strong formula but gotta be worked over; now don’t get me wrong: to me charting relevance especially nowadays with all the marketing tricks and the general awful taste means a very little, so in myself I don’t really complain about anything because Hands All Over is a magnificent album: but I do believe if they’d just operated differently in launching it and takin more time to also explain what was about that record that they felt worthy and mattering this showdown in charts wouldn’t have been of this register.
As simple as that.
5 – The overall wrong assumption (this time actually by the fans) that Maroon 5 are easily marketable and easily “mainstream”.
Adam At The Grove 24 Sept. 2010 - 6 -
You know from my previous posts I love them exactly because of their richness in sound, so variate and so different, so for me that is actually NOT a minus. Their richness and versatility, which they have made SHINE in this record, is actually their best feature, and the reason they should gain praise for (like in the All Music Guide Review).
This is the measure of their artistic merit and the reason I personally couldn’t care less about their charting power (I never did).
But this is also what makes them have such an hard time making people rate them as greatly as they should been rated.
A rich, variate, educate taste such as the one a music of Maroon 5 deserved, is RARE.
It takes way more than your average pop listener to appreciate that, even though in the end they make “pop”, but “pop” in the Beatles way: EDUCATED pop that merges together all influences in something sonically pleasing and allegedly “natural” to the ear.
Heck, their VERSES are more melodic and hooking up than the wide majority of other musicians’s CHORUSES!!!
Karim's portrait of Adam Levine in his sweet 16. Grungey version from Maroon 5 iPhone app (aww) 🙂
But sure, this ain’t easy to make people acknowledge because they are and will be forever overlooked (unless they don’t go back to a full R’nB sound, which would make the world go in awe for, but which would simply NOT be them artistically… It’d be JUST a PART of them and they don’t want to get back there. And I respect that. A lot.
6 – The lack of sexiness displayed openly in the lyrics this time.
This is one of the tackiest and most stupid critic I’ve heard about this record.
I have addressed it in my previous post because I was sure others would have, and I stand by that: these lyrics are actually BETTER, more crafted, more real and more deep than those Adam used to write before.
They are more manly in the sense you can perceive it’s a man writing them and not a kid; and he SINGS them with way more passionate soul than ever before actually.
But again, in this quite shallow way to hear supposed “pop” music (it’s that a disease?), if you are not explicitly quoting sex you’re not sexy enough (NO WAY… , and a way to sing can be way sexier than the most open lyric, which anyway Adam gave room for anyone else to feel comfortable with, so I don’t see why if he felt these songs weren’t meant to express that, he should have got back to an old trick just because everybody expects that from him all the time…).
Maroon 5 ain’t gonna be political writers as Muse.
They cannot be some philosophers à la Radiohead, nor nerdy weirdos (in the best possible way) à la Vampire Weekend.
They sing about love and ehi, there’s freaking NO problem with that.
Beatles, Police, Stevie and tons other sung ALWAYS about that.
Stop thinkin there’s a mistake there because those telling you guys there is are probably into metal and they’re not exactly the type of people who’s gonna give a shit about you anyway.
They so totally totally shine… I would have never bothered any of them in the hotel, but watching them is like watching Peynet. Their babies could be so beautiful… I know I’m fixed with that sentence but maybe it’s my state of future bride, I don’t know… they just inspired me so well it’s unreal ;).
Talkin about that, and the fact public display by public people can be commented over ANYWHERE, one of Psycho’s frankly freaky friends (oh, btw… Psycho WROTE me emails again… I even answered, in a fluke of humanism… BAD IDEA. I guess she’s still compulsive, but if she really wants to take my advices and move on, I’m sincerly wishing her to find a safe place and a safe pace to cope with her obsessions. I truly wish her to recover… just I don’t wanna her to write me ever anymore, anyhow though thanx…) had the brilliant idea to question me about THIS the other day:
Weirdos rule the web... beware kids 😉 If THESE are the mums...
(if that’s recall you that weirdo DeliaDobbs fake twitter, is not by case…).
See, if I were obsessed like you all crazies, last week in Naples I would have followed Adam and Anne and bothered them, I would have taken tons of pictures of them from my privileged position and hotel stay and then I would have shared them all over the web.
BUT I DID NOT BECAUSE MY LAST WILL IS TO CRASH THEIR REAL AND PRIVATE LIVES or to display things they would never wish to display (learn something here, please).
I just enjoyed their sight together when it was displayed publicly in the place they were at. And kept the memory of the beauty they share around, without attempting any paparazzi-like move (I despise that attitude, also in the fans, deeply).
All that they don’t share for first, or that other news sources with status of media sources don’t claim about them doesn’t belong to web or to any other beside themselves well, and it WON’T EVER BE SHARED HERE… because it’s THEIR PRIVATE LIFE and I do respect it so totally, totally much (I do. You don’t crazies, because you keepon talkin HOURS online about them don’t you?).
Adam and Jesse Flying from Italy to New York, 19 September 2010
What is displayed here is simply a collection of known facts they as well let us know about being public people, collected in timely flow with the help and interest of at least 10 more persons beside me, and displayed on my page just because it is of interest for me being a lover of music and a lover of fashion and a lover of beauty to see my favourite singer together with one of my favourite models.
This is my prerogative because this blog detailes my likes, which they are part of, but it displays that in a very light way.
Now you stalker people stop mirroring my pages, or at least when I wear you off and out don’t go weep: my lawyers are always happy to meet yours anytime YOU FUCKING CREEPY LOSERS.
Go out of web for a while and do some sexually pleasant stuff: I bet this way you would stop spending more than half of the day online, creepy obsessive nerds.
I pity your sad lives with all my heart. No wait: I don’t: I laugh my ass off thinkin at your sad lives actually.
Okay, so let’s go on with the real things, while you keep reading and watching and hearing material out from the very fullfilled past week of Maroon 5.
This is a behind the scene radio piece that talks about the record again:
From the Crypt Blog: thank you for saving this awesome music
Click here to listen the download of that performance, which was so awesome even the not expected-to-like-Maroon5-type of audience swooned at the rendition:
And then the fabulous interview Adam did with OUT Magazine, which is so honest and see-throughable which made me feel totally empathic again with anything he said:
Adam interview for OUT magazine page 1
And page 2:
Adam Interview for OUT magazine page 2
I advice you to click on the shots because along the interview on their site there is also a wonderful video.
I love every single word Adam said there.
He’s so himself there and I like that he likes Gaga, too ;).
Somebody like this is just a shining soul (and he talked about Jakey G. because OUT is a gay magazine, you twits pouring venom over that… World is full of idiots, prudes, homophobics and douches, but Adam ain’t part of any of it FOR SURE…).
Now take some from Letterman (I saw the Italian rerun like 10 times already ;)):
In New York there has been another moment where they actually performed the Al Green Cover .
You know how I tend to consider the material they cover like a phase of Adam’s life so I am delighted about Let’s Stay Together choice.
I find it really beautiful, tender, romantic and the way he sings it truly makes you get how he FEELS the lyrics. :).
The special show at Hard Rock Cafe has therefore another try there (though the Stern’s one is superior. Man there they were so flawless they impressed a very unexpected portion of the audience, which is a great thing).
So enjoy:
and then part two:
And there you go, again Al Green :

While we were talkin about Europe as well in the above lines, please check (even though it’s in French) this lovely review about the Westin showcase the guys did in Paris the other week, and that you know from my previous posts too:
Maroon 5 At Westin Hotel, Paris, September 2010
It’s so true that having the blissful experience of catching hem live is kinda a trip into a senseful, erotically charged yet elegant dimension.
I can see their new songs somehow might be difficult to strip down fully on that level, although to me it could be easier with these songs than any out from IWBSBL actually.
Lovely Russian Fairy Anne V. and Florence Majesty - 1-
Before the close up of the post, please, let me have a moment of Country Pride as well (Country in the sense of ITALY, right?) because as I told you Anne has enjoyed firstly my Milan, took the advices I gave for her during eating times there (hopefully those about shopping too) and loved the style of our offerings.
Beside these communications, I had a great Fashion Week as well past week in Milan (beside missing due to rainstorm C’N’C, which was cute anyway they said me), where I have been going to shows and enjoying catwalks and parties and yep… I love beauty and style in all forms, so don’t blame me for being fashionista because for me it’s all about being an esthete ;).
But don’t expect private pics again 😉 sorry 😉
What else?
I say nothing else for a while.
Unless as I said I won’t have to slightly update THIS post tomorrow or the day after (not a new one though).
I just hope my babies are fine and well with themselves because truth is they are progressing artistically and they have nothing to regret on the artistic side.
Anne enjoying San Lorenzo this very morning, monday Sept. 27th 2010
I wish them joy and to keep their pace.
I like that.
I adore their music.
And I’m feeling better due to it (and I am a very happy person in myself, so imagine what specialty has to be the one which can make me feel even HAPPIER).
Enjoy your days folks.
Next time I’ll write here a new post (and not a small update onto an already written post) I’ll be and engaged gal.
This is gonna be quite long post so sit down and relax.
Think that I have written this on a roll effect of LITERS of coffee that I took in to stay awake this morning at lab after a huge night.
You should just pity me, right? 😉 LOL. Fine 😉

I know… you were used to more constant updates but ehi, my time is limited and fullfilled.
And expect more long yet rarefied updates because the incoming three weeks are gonna be like pivotal in my own life.
Adam At La Scala in London September 2010
Engagement trips and all gigs and lots of indescribable bliss, you know, which will make the updates here be LONG but… happening when I have time to make them to ;)…
So, to recap, I was meant to write this on monday… then it got forwarded to tuesday… then it was supposed to be yesterday but no way… firstly I had too long of a meeting, then it was a surprise night with Karim on a retired SPA the subsequent day and then I had a lovely match of tennis and a really… *really* kinky night with friends for our “End of The Summer” bikini beachwear party at our loft yesterday and the only web space I could find, which was due, had to be my time at Lakers Blog in Los Angeles Times, where I have regularly written (well, I haven’t on tuesday actually: the time at the SPA was unexpected, unplanned and so precious I really forgot about anything else and just focused on me and my man. AWESOME…).
Karim is starting to feel even more… how to put it down properly… the approaching moment of our stepping off into the world as “She and Him”.
He’s always been gloriously romantic, and has always had those Earth-shattering ideas that he turns into blissful surprises for me to get blown away with, but lately, indeed, he’s just becoming like The Genius of Aladdin.
Only that instead of 3 wishes, I have like… 3000000 and I don’t even need to tell them: it’s like he reads my inmost expectations and dreams and hopes and just… make them real.
Maroon 5 at La Scala in London, September 2010
It’s insane.
More from 944 Photo Call (thanx Da Queen!)
It’s beautiful.
I guess it’s love.
But let’s talk about Sport… it freaks me out to realize how much I have MYSELF become a hopeless romantic sucker.
Talkin’ about Sport puts me back in my most used “bitchy style” (a cute one, camon…): after just noticing that Nadal won the USA Open (of course ;)…) in a beautiful, great final (that I saw post happening) against my second fav in the circuit, Djokovic (who sent Federer home… ahahaha 😉 AWESOME!), I have to say that footbal season has started to mean something after the impromptu shame of past saturday, when Milan LOST in Cesena (like… really?!!???).
Luckely we were in Florence having the best time ever in our favourite love town and I could avoid to feel too bad about it.
Fortunately Milan yesterday won in Champions, which was a serious blast instead: we were watching the game on a giant flat screen of 82″ (new item in the loft… it’s like having Cinematic at home ;)) and people got off from the Jacuzzi dripping water everywhere as they started to jubilate for Ibrahimovic scoring TWICE for us!!! (first half was a pain ;))
Adorable. They are so adorable... (still the 944 pgoto call)
I have much to share, but before I forget, since I received it during the meeting on Monday, enjoy Billboard with the Sweet Babies (the patchwork of the scanned half pages is DREADFUL, I know… but ehi! be thankful that I scanned it at least… Jeez ;)).
I LOVED the quote about the architect Adam put there… while about the street credit, see my previous two blogs posts.
I know that for instance Brandon Flowers of The Killers has the same (well, not as gorgeous, but cute enough) type of beauty to display, but yet the Killers are perceived as more “real” than Maroon5; well that stays in the type of music the two bands play (less romance-oriented for the Killers, which appeals more to male crowds) and also in the fact Brandon never started to date sensible-to-stardom-and-there-belonging series of girlfriends (also a major turn-off in the realm of “indie-ness”… see for reference the backlash Matt Bellamy of Muse is experiencing NOW that he dates Kate Hudson – shakes head collectively …).
The pictures out from the photo op – that I collaged – are also shared by Jennifer, while the ones in the collages and as singular shots from Getty are mines and the images from their twitters are… from their twitters ;).
Enjoy (always thanx to Jen) two brief interviews from the Fuse series where they reveal, among other stuff, the meaning of Maroon 5 name for the band (oh, man… ;)):
and then this piece as well:
But okay, this way I’m not being chronological, am I?
Better start to then.
Adam At Paris Showcase, September 2010 - 1-
Because in the maintime it has happened that babies have ended their London Time, they’ve been already touched down in Paris (where they are currently, but ready to leave towards Naples I guess directly from Charles De Gaulle either tomorrow (more likely) or the morning after, on the 18th (don’t really think so…).
But I will get back on Adam and Anne later because during these days they’ve been absolutely brilliant in mutual shout outs over Twitter, so I will show you why they are a great couple also mentally (she seems to have his same kind of humor, which could be the best plus EVER, you know ;)).
London allegedly inspired the boys their punkier version (naw… not really indeed ;)) and in all that, with ages of time changes in between, Anne was in that dreamy location from previous post completing her shooting task and… making wish at falling stars (I for one in her place would have expressed just one wish, like a million times… I’m just saying… ;)).
As it always happens when they are apart, if she starts to twitter, he starts too (and in reverse) and the more far apart they are, the kinkiest the tweets become (not openly… let’s say… laterally ;)).
London also inspired Adam a declaration that I hope he won’t regret one day.
I love the way he lets his own creative mind speak, and of course I adore the way he is bonded in double chain with the guys who are sharing his same life since they’re kids but… somehow… I don’t know how to express this…
I would avoid to be THAT cathegoric.
I would.
Creativity is a flow.
And when you are in a creative bunch, it’s not only what YOU think and hope that matters, but also what the others involved feel and want and hope for.
Because as far as statement goes, this one is pretty damn huge (beautiful and cute and all… but it’s gonna be so regrettable in case things develop differently… not that I wish they’d ever do, of course):
So allegedly we won't ever get a Levine's "Flamingo". mmmh. I don't know ;)?
These kind of statement are always taken among brackets by me.
Maroon5 in Paris Location
But as long as he collaborates outfar from band as well, ehi… all’s fine with me 😉 (I just want the maximum amount of his voice in my record collections, you know…).
It certainly assumed a huge value also for Rosie Hardy, the talented gal who created (and starred herself into) the cover of Hands All Over Album (see previous posts here).
She’s so … small!
You can never guess from pictures… but really they all seem delighted to have met 🙂 Sooo cute 🙂
You always get how totally down to Earth these guys are, don’t you?
Adam at AR studios. I'm trying HARD to forgive him for those FUG trousers... *sigh* 😉
And the fact they actually are so cute and kind and real, makes me SOOOOO angry when anything bad happens to them, especially when these bad things, instead of being prevented, are rode along by their so called “fans”.
What I am ranting about?
Oh, well… name it again: the whole album LEAKED ages prior to release, and the most absurd thing is that lot of the “so called” fans… rejoiced at that news??????
They probably are not too sharp, but that leak will cause an ENORMOUS damage to the band.
ENORMOUS.
I don’t get why people cannot just wait for the release (like I do always… leaks to me are disgusting and repulsive, and so I avoid ALL of the floating tracks, like religiously almost).
More 944 shots - 4 -
What are you, on drugs, and you can’t get enough not even if await can actually be USEFUL for THEM?
Can’t you respect the hard work behind a record?
Are you really that blind and poorly judged that you don’t get any leak will cut chances of selling, therefore chances of touring and promote, and overall, any leak will SHORTEN the life of any artist?
More from 944 shot - 5-
I don’t get how anybody can jump and be happy of a leak of a band they’re supposed to love and support.
Just buy that darn album when is out, grow some patience and stop make your whole life revolve only on one or two things, so maybe that patient await will come easier?
See the way the leak will affect what was already a no easy date of release.
Then cry your rivers: but it will be LATE, “fans”.
Stupidity and disrespect clearly go hand in hand.
Too bad.
I get some can’t be happy about not really understandable choices of timing about releases (Misery available… THIS week in UK?!?? Oh, man… WTF??) but the ultimate point is still that one: leaking, and spreading it, damages bands and artists in a way that in the end will kill them.
If you really want so badly to know more about the record before it’s out, just listen to their approved sneak peak on their own web radio:
listen to HAO preview
I guess some people just CAN’T “Give a Little More”, and they are destined to remain poor half people who cannot control their own impulses.
Talkin about Give a Little More, you know that they have the video on VEVO:
You noticed probably that in the version online, there were strange frozen images, like chandeliers suspended for like 2 seconds… well, the beauty of the video stays in the way the band actually appears and disappear in and out of sexually charged context while they play in the houseparty, scenes that those frozen stills were hiding from the YouTube version.
The video is SO cool, subtle and really steamy.
Best extract? THIS:
Give A Little More plus scenes from the iTunes Video
Now let me share the task of Maroon5 upcoming tv appearances… and you will say along me:how can they be in Italy & OR Germany when they tape David Letterman Show (Yay for that!!!! Love it!!!) on September 21st?
I guess the schedule has changed?
No X Factor 😉 or maybe they’ll get back later after?
Dunno.
*Mistery* ;), but you check these out :
Guess no way they can be at X Factor then 😉
Oh, at least I will catch them in Naples.
paris from adam
Karim has warned me to avoid crazyness, and I sure won’t do anything more than enjoying them for their part onstage.
I’m fine, we will meet them while they are on Europe duties, but even then, I know I’m a different person than I used to be so I guess my appreciation is just slowly shifting, albeit enlarging actually, from one point to another.
I’m okay with it: now more than any other moment, I do realize in fact what I love them for majorly and ultimatively is… MUSIC.
Euro Stops
Yep: I just wanna enjoy their music, in full respecteful form, which is what they’re asking again to the so called… “fans” with too much of a fix idea:
Maroon 5 Taping Shows policy
I guess my new maturity (which doesn’t mean I will ever stop to consider Adam most turning on person for me on the whole planet… that cannot change ;)) pairs Maroon5 a lot more with Coldplay in my “fan book”.
Because that REALLY is a great place to go to (you risk to bypass it if you don’t know about it… Karim and I went there in May when we were in Paris, too ;))
And now (with TONS of SORRIES delivered to her… because I made her wait SO long to put this up…), welcome the art of Nipotina Mukkosa, a kind gal who sent me art about Adam that I am glad to share with you all, after her wish accordingly:
Adam Levine portraited by Vivian (NipotinaMukkosa) - click to reach album
Of course the snapshot with the writing onto is to prevent copyright infringment. Click on the image to reach her FLICKR album, okay?
Now before I get back to some of my favourite music of the moment, that I want to let you know about, let me share a fairly SERIOUS thing instead, firstly.
This is Marco Travaglio‘s call up for a law that this poor country of mine needs, needs, NEEDS like not poisoned air.
Just listen (it’s in Italian of course) and do ALL YOU CAN to support this to become for real a law in our Country, and not the usual sham we’re pathetically used to.
GO:
I know.
This should be a normal thing to have in any evolved Country but we are an involuted Country instead so… operate and defend this right?
Excellent.
Now I will share a few videos/songs that make me feel fine and happy lately, starting with James Blunt and his Train-esque joyous comeback, Stay The Night (I LOOOOVE it… I so wish Adam will soon write something THIS cheerful and happy… he has reasons for now, hasn’t he? ;)):
Then the awesome return of the always classy and groovy Jamiroquai and his amazing White Knuckle Ride:
And to end the two good things from the VMA, namely the utterly fantastic Florence And The Machine (small note: Jared Leto seems always more of a dickhead with those hair… wake up, you’re almost 40… stop thinkin you’re Jordan Catalano still…):
And then, of course, Kanye West and his superb new tune (Taylor Swift should have eaten her guitar… her “Innocent” song was one of the crappiest things and all PR-ed I’ve EVER witnessed. She’s cute and all, but I’m starting to ot stand her AT ALL. Too fake.):
Other than that, I’m so hooked on new Sara Bareilles (Awesome!!! #1!!!), and still blasted and outrageously in love with Arcade Fire and Janelle Monae.
More from 944 shots - 6 -
But you know, next week I’m gonna listen to just ONE record for about forever.
No leaks here.
No stealing from my beloveds’ essences.
I am patient and I will be rewarded in pleasure.
And it starts… in two days, actually.
Catch you on Monday… I think 😉
I will have things to say, considering the weekend 😉 I’m about to have, right?
PS: The translation of this post will come tomorrow on my Italian blog. I’m just too dead today to attempt more :P…
My lazy ass (still a fairly fabulous, kinda brazilian one I have to say…) has collected pieces of infos during my awesome (help me say it : A-W-E-S-O-M-E) holiday cruise on boat all over Mediterranean Sea.
I am pretty much singing with angels and have fairies brush my hair and polish my nailpainted toes so to come here, open Noah and start to type over it is like a HARD task.
Hope you appreciate the *big effort* ;)…
Actually, this here is where I have to make all those 127 emails related to Maroon5&Music stuff go, or Yahoo mail will explode.
Hence this first update (note: my fantasy gets dried over titles when I am vacationing… so this is the best I could come up with ;))
Maroon 5 on the video set for "Give A Little More" directed by Paul Hunter
Nah okay let’s be more polite… Although I am still sailing, and I will end this only in Verona on 28th of August (I am at Arena watchin Opera, you know… I am a rocking soul who loves opera too…) the amount of Maroon5 related material was a bit overflowing from emails so at least this has to be done, for how simple compared to my usual posts this could look.
Just a note: don’t ask me for blogs about my holidays.
Every single time Maroon5 are involved with new people, and those people are voices or artists I already like (I got shocked by Janelle Monae on Letterman, and started to praise her BEFORE any of them openly did to our acknowledgement), I get giggles inside.
You know I am HOPING so badly they will collaborate now don’t you? 😉
Not always though my hopes about them get fully filled in.
You know I never lie nor hide my true feelings and I have to say the UK version of Misery video is about the wackiest thing ever. WHAT???!!!???
Adam also got to find more people to follow on Twitter.
Comedians, Snoop Dogg, Ashton Kutcher, Lakers like Lamar Odom (I was surprised he took so much time before deciding for that, considering he is of entourage…), and rockers like Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee (oh, if I were a fly to listen to some of their chats… 😉 okay, I’m nasty… I know… ;)), and amazing friends likeRob Thomas (yesssss!!!! He found him!!! Love that :)).
(sorry Adam, you stay gloriously in the runner up place though. I’m sure you agree with me about Kanye after all ;)).
While we speak about Kanye, his album got delayed till November 16.
This could be a good thing for us, if it weren’t that actually the fact AGAIN they are preceeded by Linkin Park on the sales week of September 14 won’t help at all any plan of ruling charts.
If the first single performances are again revealing of the impact the albums may have – which is generally fairly accurate -, sorry there’s no copetition between the Catalyst and Misery (so far, but of course I’d like to be wrong there…)
My HERO Kobe Bryant with Kanye West remixing Power
Whatever happens, I’m fine with it.
And so I hope they are, which I think they will be.
Rules of album chart performances after a decade bands are active (and they are active in a very “indie” kinda way, this regardeless the genre of their music) always have their peaks and lay downs and then peaks again.
I still not convinced by their strategy in promotional duties (skipping completely Europe, focusing on just half USA to tour, putting the first single out WAY too soon compared to the album release date, etc…), but as long as they’re okay and convinced, I mean… ALL is fine.
My appreciation as fan stays in the MUSIC and i don’t care how many I am in company with.
I will listen to them always as long as they’re around; enjoying gigs all over the world anytime it will be possible and cheering them.
That’s it.
Charting is important, but relatively at this point: they are in their niche, and allegedly happy to be (as they should;)).
On tour then it’s what you really get the dimension of cuteness about them.
You might find it hard to deal with, I find it quite poetical instead 🙂 (that Arrrr might surely be a Simpson‘s reference?).. and then he comes up with sweet words like these, and one just melts (I can see the goodness in New York Summer rain, both if Adam and Anne are in her apartment, or outside strolling together… how adorable are they?).
Chovy (Anchovy), namely Anne's Pomeranian dog.
Another thing that Adam shares with his belle is for sure a lot of Chovy love…
For sure though he has a personal vision of life, which is admirable even when (and it happens by my side, especially when he goes all relativism and immature-like) his opinion is not the one I follow as well.
Maroon5 rocking DC, 13th August 2010
Anyway, the tour still develop, my antennas are raising, and I hope you can still enjoy these updates even though they come so randomly during my well deserved own summer bliss ;).
Hope all of you nice souls (those who are) can enjoy a Summer even tenth as good as mine is.
It would be still Paradise, believe.
Rock On!!!
Cu later, *happy Zaira* 😉
PS1:
thanx to those writing about enjoying my Twitpics from holidays 😉 I am trying my best to make you all part of a wonderful trip. If you enjoy that, the best you can do is actually coming to Italy and see yourself!!).
Chris Martin surfing in the Hamptons
PS2:
Awwww I was about to forget…
Charisse was so cute in sending me a coupla notes about Chris Martin vacationing in the Hamptons.
I so so SO hope in this brilliant 2010 (musically speaking) also beloved Coldplay can put out the album.
It would be just spectacular cos also Radiohead are there to do it again.
